It was every bit as clear a shutout as Povetkin vs. Hammer, or any other shutout you can name.

    A) Read the post again. You missed a key qualifier.
    B) Check the judges' scorecards. Are you suggesting the judges were corrupt? Even the British judge?

Murray is the good shout out here and I wouldn't argue with it. Geale is a nice nod to a guy I'm a huge fan of and surely value more than most... I don't vibe with the thought on Rubio, especially at that stage. Monroe over Lemieux, hey I just blasted Lemieux all night, but I think that advantage goes to Lemieux clearly (that's my opinion, but I will say I would highly question if you did actually fancy Monroe a more proven and thus better victory than one over Lemieux... I was cool with Monroe before he fought Golov and he has gotten better but overall he suffers from the Curtis Stevens effect- became TOO rated the instant he signed to fight the superstar... Monroe has done what, beaten a couple elite gatekeepers?).

Are you saying that you(a mere forum poster) are more credible than a professional judge?

    @Nonito Smoak
The people I know in person that have seen the fight are split just about 50/50 (and they are all Mexican)... but I suppose anecdotal evidence sucks... Ill try to see what any official polls say. If polls have it wide for Canelo I will take back the Cotto fight as being controversial. I was going by my own boxing bubble, which is admittedly not a good sample size (though again, it is filled with canelo fans, canelo fans that scored it for Cotto. Which I found odd because, as someone that is not a Canelo fan, I scored it close but clear for Canelo) anyways, Ill try to see what some polls say. (I know its not important but now I am simply curious)

10 clear as day dominating rounds
1 close round that Saunders corner told him he lost (round 10) which could have went either way but probably saunders.
and round 12 saunders let lemieux chase him without letting go.

David was given the 12th by BJS, its not like other guys like FMJ avoid confrontation when 11-0 up going into the final round with a monster puncher is it.

We've heard that at least three times before.

    Trout, Lara, Golovkin.

if Saunders was "avoiding confrontation" then he was intimidated by Lemieux. Therefore Lemieux made Saunders give that round away. Simple as that.

What , are you expecting an elite boxer to just throw caution to the wind and go for a knock-out vs a behind on the cards, desperate knock-out artist who's only aim is to knock you out? Don't ever take up training boxers, please.

I'm still waiting to hear what Lemieux actually DID to warrant consideration for having won the twelfth.

Many seem to be approaching this from a "Saunders didn't do enough" perspective. Well...too bad if he didn't do enough to suit your tastes - if the tiny bit he did outnumbered the nothing Lemieux did, then Saunders wins the round.

    Nonsense.

This much is not up for debate.

If two of the three judges (including the British judge) and a good number of the the posters found at least two rounds to give to Lemieux, then clearly "Lemieux didn't "arguably win a couple of rounds".

I never saw BJS land much in the 12th, David was pressing the action hard, so I give him that round. If he did that all fight, he might have won, oh well.
