Be serious! I suspect that perhaps the K brothers are planning to launch a full-fledged boxing promotional company in the near future (to compete with Absurdium & all the other ridiculous Euro promoters) If That's the case, they might have made a secret deal with HBO, and this broadcast could have been a requirement of that deal. Heck, that promo might have even been conceived & produced by the Klits themselves. It kind of feels like it. Sure, this is a far-fetched guess, but I can't see any other reason for HBO to promote this fight so hard. By doing so, they're likely shooting themselves in the foot.
HBO shows a lot of documentaries and a lot of boxing. It makes sense that they air a documentary about a couple of champion boxers. Both seem to be class guys. Plus, with editing, they can skip the 9 rounds of pawing and grabbing and get right to Wlad actually hitting a guy. Throw in some music and they might just convince people he is watchable.
Enjoyed the film. Wlad saying he unwittingly played with paper boats in radioactive rain puddles from Chernobyl haunted me a bit.
They should do that with the actual fight: Do a delayed broadcast, and just show the highlights. Seriously !
I've actually done that before. Put a Wlad fight in the DVR and watch in on 2 or three times speed. I wish I would have done that for the Haye fight....
