What are you talking about? There IS a huge link between the two as far as what really goes on. Pankratia being from right around 650 bc.. For christ sakes, wiki Pankratia if you have to.

UFC is alright too. I like any kind of controlled violence...but why are these threads popping up on a BOXING forum?

UFC is gay, most of them punch like 12 yearold girls. There punching technique is horrible, if they came into my gym and started hitting the bag, they would get laughed at.

I'm actually pretty ashamed of some of the posts contained within this thread and I still cannot understand why people need to ridicule and mock the other while trying to proclaim that their favourite out of the two (Whichever that may be) is the greatest thing since live's bread.

I love and respect both Sports and there is no denying Mixed Martial Arts have came a long way these past few years.

In regards to the UFC though they need to make some changes to make it more credible but the basics are they.

Plus they need Fedor Emelianenko. The guy is a beast who would destroy anyone who gets in his way.

I would beat most of them in a boxing match, obviously not in the ufc. You are a keyboard warrior that would never talk to somebody like that on the streets cause you would get laid out, so you come on here act tough cause thats the only place you can do it.

I never said I would, but the people at my gym definitely would. They might be good other things, but from what I seen boxing isnt one them.

This just shows how ignorant most of you are, the reason they couldn't pan out a deal is because HBO wants control of alot of things just like they control when Wlad will be fighting next. We can't see Wlad fight any time soon because HBO says so!!. So Dana White doesn't want this to happen to MMA like alot of bull**** has happened to boxing. He has learned from boxings mistakes.

Dana White is a dip**** anyhow. HBO wants to control the product shown on their network, understandable.

As long as that ****** Joe Rogan is commentating I'm not paying for no PPV's.

Thank god hbo did the right thing. If ufc was carried under the hbo umbrella it would give it more credibility than it deserves, the executives at hbo got it right this time in my opinion.
