We're finally able to get HBO here in Canada, and it appears that Boxing After Dark is not available!!!

For instance, the November 15th Lacy-Taylor fight is not on the HBO Canada schedule. Same thing for Hatton-Maliignaggi on the 22nd of November.

Does anybody know what is going on?? I really had my hopes up. Does this mean that these fights are going to be on PPV in Canada? Or on TSN two weeks after the fact??

HBO(US) has a contract with TSN to provide the fights from year to year.Until such time that TSN turns down this contract,HBO will continue to not show these fights "Live" on the HBO Canadian channel.

The TSN-HBO contract expires sometime early in the new year, I believe January. At that point, all HBO BAD and WCB will be shown live on HBO Canada. Until then, its up to TSN to televise the HBO cards, and I'm sure they will continue to do a very poor job of it until the contract runs out.

This may be true, however, should HBO realise more revenues for their boxing product with TSN AND TSN wants to continue it's coverage of HBO Boxing(as bad as it is),make no mistake, there will be no boxing or at least not all boxing events will be on HBO Canada.Ihope I am wrong and you are right, but I doubt it.

Rogers in Ontario has HBO Canada starting this week, I believe, if you subscribe to TMN.

If you want all the live boxing in Canada, just get an FTA receiver and a dish installed. Don't bother with Rogers or Bell. Their boxing coverage is primitive.I gave up their nonsense pricing and subpar offerings years ago. Best decision I've made.
