You could have said the same thing about Sam Peter and Waldo Klitschko. But everyone here knows how much attention that fight got when it was made. And it wasn't even a title fight.

Average Joe isn't stupid. This isn't Cotto vs Gomez. This is Cotto vs Margarito. It's a big fight.

Honestly if it doesn't do over 300k buys I will be shocked. This of course including good 24/7 coverage.

It'd be cool to have one. I'd like to see what Margarito is like, he's always seemed like a pretty cool guy.

Arum and HBO are banking on the Puerto Rico vs Mexico rivalry to create a superstar out of the winner of this fight.

And which open HBO slot do you suggest they put this on instead? Who really cares about the PPV numbers anyway? What's in it for you? And lastly, who cares if ther average sports fan demand anything as well? Everyone anf their momma knows the winner is the ONLY choice for Mayweather. Think casuals fans and their demands mean anything? Hell no.

How exactly is this bad in th long run? That really makes no sense. BEcause if this fight has the fireworks we all think it can, that will be passed by word of mouth. Same thing hapened with gatti - Ward, Chico - Corrales, and Izzy - Rafael.

I don't know why some posters try to sound like industry insiders.

He's been doing this for years. Everyone hates Arum, but the man is one of the last true promoters.
