God bless the Japanese commenators! I don't give a **** if I don't understand a word but they are passionate and it comes through the screen. Mexican and Argentinean commentators are in the fight too and I really liked the French commentary of N'Dam-Khurtsidze.

I'd agree with this, although I thought the question Merchant asked him was stupid. Saying ''do you think he'd be proud of you'' in reference to the fight was wrong IMO.

The worst for me on the HBO team has always been Jim 'The Mouth' Lampley.

They'd never get rid of him though. It is just a pet peeve. He's insanely biased and it comes across quite easily.

I like Lampley. I think he is pretty funny. I usually like his commentary. Although I do agree that at times he lets his bias shine through. Everyone is going to have favorites; a good commentator should be able to move past that and try to be impartial. Still, I like Lampley.

Kellerman on the other hand is way too caught up in his narrative half the time. If something goes against his narrative he will often ignore it. That is just bad commentary.

Roy is very good. He speaks so fast that the others need to wake up themselves. Also, he seem to have fun behind the mic, you feel the whole telecast alive. Put him back, but HBO still needs to send the oldies into retirement and get new blood.

I don't particularly like Kellerman, but at the end of Martinez v Williams I get the impression he had no idea they were going to show Williams the replay until the last minute through his earpiece. His expression sort of changed just before it came on and he looked very uneasy.

Hire Rachel Cordingly as a commentator. Would make for some entertaining broadcasts.

Merchant and Steward are the worse. They offer nothing in astute analysis just a bunch of self righteous BS. RJJ should be brought back ASAP to replace these two clowns and bring back his second to none insight.

I thought it was great when Jim Lampley said (paraphrasing)

"Juan Manuel Marquez' face is unmarked. Could it be because he drinks his own urine?"

    That was ****ing hilarious.

They are getting worse and worse. Seems they have become completely complacent, and have pretty much become unprofessional charactertures. I dont remember HBO to ever be as bad as it is now.

Showtime has become the elite boxing network not only in matchmaking, and in its boxing documentary shows, but also now in the booth.

They can at least go a long way to fixing the problem by outting Larry and bringing back Roy Jones.

Good news via Dan Rafael's twitter!

"With Manny Steward with Wlad Klitschko for his 12/11 fight, Roy Jones will work HBO's Khan-Maidana card that night with Lampley & Merchant."

Great news. Hopefully they decide to keep him and let Steward go.
