Seriously bro, i've just literally watched the fight half hour ago and i can assure you it happens time and time again.

And i'm not one of these idiots around here who is heavily biased for or against Pacquiao, I'm giving you an honest opinion.

If you do happen to re watch the fight, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this matter.

It was a joke Peter.I thought you'd take it that way beause you clearly don't have an agenda here.
On the matter at hand,I always said I wished we got the HBO commentators on TV in the UK,but when I heard what was said in the last fight with Marquez,I realised I should be careful what I wished for.
Given their previous inabilty to hide their bias, should anyone be surprised at how bad they were last night given their boy has a case for being robbed.
Even during play/action you know you're always going to have Manny treated like a local fighter. They won't change now.

It's interesting how Kellerman can never quite appear comfortable with what's happening. He's not got long left (presumably) until Merchant is gone for one reason or another, so he knows that keeping his mouth shut and playing along will get him that big job full time real soon. Hopefully then he develops a back bone and starts stating the obvious.

I remember Bradley scoring with good shots on several occasions, and if Lampley said anything it was praising Manny some more.

I agree with you dude. These announcers are on crack. They only saw what they wanted to see . I was rooting for bradley BIG TIME and they never gave him credit.

That said, emanuel was correct about alot of things too. Paq was overpowering bradley. Bradley DID look discouraged and he WAS getting his ass whooped most of that fight. He lost that fight hands down. They got that part right. But yeah, they didnt give bradley enough credit at some points.

    Hahaha! sorry mate.

with all the *******/***** nonsense round here i'm always on guard.

It's a shame sometimes you can't just have a debate about boxing without being accused of bias for or against a fighter, hence why i felt the need to state Pacquiao won the fight four times over lol.

    My bad bro :good

I dont get it. what "obvious" should kellerman be stating? I understand that you think his desire for full the job impedes him, which I disagree with simply because he's a shoe-in, but what truths should kellerman be expressing?

:goodI flicked stream to Showtime after the 7th round which I had Bradley winning, only to here HBO talk shite about it being Manny's round. Aye right like **** it was. After that went to Showtime link. I scored the fight 8-4 to Manny but like you say going by HBO it was 11-1 or 12-0. Mental :nut

That the fight is flowing differently to what's being implied by the rest of the team?

That a fighter is landing punches while they sit there in their 30 second periods of pro-longed scilence? (That isn't an exaggeration.)

Nobody is expendable, if Kellerman upsets the apple cart then Larry is offered more dates and there's always one of two kazillion potential replacements, from broadcasters to journalists who would jump through hoops for his job.

    That is not an exaggeration.

As the fight went on, and Manny's workrate slowed the commentators weren't talking half as much because Bradley was landing some clean shots, and as ive said, when Bradley landed, the majority of the time, they were silent.

Literally long awkward silences, they were just waiting for Pacquiao to land his next punch.

I was amazed how Max Kellerman was writting off Bernard b4 the fight with Chad when he could very well have pulled it out. More and more, I am getting this idea that HBO is one of the main powers in the business due to PPV events. Max knows history sure, Lampley has been there for many years, Harold has been an official judge from the times Duran was a LW but the only guy who really knows anything in that team is Larry who I am pretty sure will be inducted to the HOF like Al Bernstein was rightfully inducted. But you guys in the UK, God, you have such idiots commentating, Steve Bunce comments like he is in a pub drinking a beer and is tremendously biased, Glenn McRory only can say two or three phrases a time that anyone would, Nelson likes to debate, nothing else, the only guy really is Barry McGuigan... And of course Ian darke and Jim watt but those guys are very experienced.

Not only the commentary but whoever the editor/producer is also, There was barley if any slow-mo's of anything Bradley did or a "end of the fight" montage of anything Bradley landed.
