It depends what you class as a "robbery" i guess.

I reserve that term for only the worst of the worst decisions (ie Lewis Holyfield)

I think Pacquiao-Bradley and Pacquiao-Marquez were both just cases of incompetent judging, i think "robbery" is a bit far.

But hey, your entitled to your opinion, as am i.

    So we'll agree to disagree.

No doubt....I agree that for the most part the HBO team are glorified cheerleaders for the HBO fighters like PAC, Floyd, DLH and the Klitchkos. But this past Saturday they were pretty much writing PAC off at the very beginning.

It's like PAC had to re-earn their approval in completely dominating a guy whom they felt would knock PAC off his pedestal. By the end they were pro PAC but even still....gave Tim a TON of credit for being exactly what he was...durable and game. He did go into survival mode in the championship rounds....he took less punishment as PAC couldn't land the straight left AS MUCH....but he was still landing more and at a higher connect percentage.

Fair enough!:good We all agree that LL was Robbed...Most agree that DLH was robbed in the fight with Tito and the fight with Shane in the rematch. We're good bro..

They did credit Bradley for his durability and toughness late in the fight i will acknowledge that.

A lot of the folks who actually scored it for Shane liked the work to the body as that was his main focus. A draw is better than giving it to Shane I guess.:good

Excellent, excellent post. I would of preferred the Mario Lopez/Brian Kenny telecast to the garbage I was listening to from Manny Pac's cheerleading squad, otherwise known as kellerman, lampley and to a lesser extent stewart. I used to wish merchant would drop dead but now that extends to lampley who led by example with his biased and one sided commentary. That was one of the most obvious hype jobs I've ever been witnessed to, it's obvious that hbo was interested in pushing Pac as he's the most marketable fighter. All that was left was a cheerleading outfit and pompoms and lampley's outfit for the night would've been complete:-(
Just a sorry excuse of a professional. The only thing more gratifying than seeing Bradley win was how the decision exposed how lampley and the rest of the clowns there operate, with a pre-fight agenda that they don't deivate from irrespective of what's happening in the ring:patsch Lederman is a senile old man so his equally disgraceful performance can be excused:tired

Funny. I feel the same way when I watch the British commentary. Especially when they have a guest fighter calling the fight. They just adopt that fighters bias.

Personally, I think Kellerman is good at trying to be non biased. I think Steward is pretty decent when he doesn't have a stake in the fight. Jim is a great play by play man, but yes a bit biased. Merchant is a total idiot. And I think Letterman is a good judge though I know a lot of people at ESB disagree. I miss RJJ's commentary though.

Tim's jab wasn't landing the majority of the time and PAC was pretty much landing the left at will... the Right hook began finding the mark towards the middle rounds but by then the fight was completely one sided.

I'm not sure how you think Tim was making this a "close" fight by running and jabbing, neglecting power punches but I can tell you know that you are scoring the fight based on your OWN preferences..

If you really dig the jab and a lot of running then maybe you might have the fight a semi close...but even then you would still have the outcome as a PAC victory.

Fight was not even remotely close. Tim got a gift.

Manny really did seem to be struggling to get his offense going. Maybe he felt so comfortable that he felt he could cruise by. That proved a mistake. I thought he won most of the rounds, but he could have won more clearly imo.

Max Kellerman needs a ****ing Tyson punch to the face.

That ego trip of a interview with Randall Bailey was ****ing shocking.

I mean Bailey just won after so much and so many chances at his age.

And Kellerman like why are you Crying.

Bailey pulls off the upset of the year and Kellerman needs a right hand from the Bazooka i thought.

Get him off the ****ing HBO team already.

PAC wasn't doing "Nothing".....he too was throwing and missing a lot because Tim was busy keeping out of range for self preservation.

Tim does do a great job of jabbing.... ALOT. But over power punches....even if they are few from PAC is puzzling simply because it was PAC's intent to fight, hurt and land on Tim where it was Tim's intent on keeping away and maybe scoring a few points so he didn't look like Shane in his loss to PAC.

It was very much one sided and it wasn't a beat down because Tim did his best to avoid confrontation. When he did fight....he got his ass handed to him. Rios/Abril was in it's own right a robbery but Rios was busier...he landed less...was less accurate and was controlling the pace....but Abril was able to land at a higher connect percentage, inflicted more damage and was more efficent.

So where Rios did have success...it was through his work rate and the punch stats supported that.

Tim didn't win in ANY area. He was a little busier by like 30 punches but look at how many jabs he threw from the 890 total punches. I'm sorry bro but I don't believe anyone who says this fight was close. I automatically think they are biased or ******ed.
