Honestly, I have nothing against the Klits, but this will be another HBO snoozer and a waste of their budget. They already threw a boatload at Alexander/Bradley with lackluster results and now between this and another annual "Pay Andre Berto a fortune to fight undersized no-hopers" event, they'll have no money left for interesting, high-calibre, guaranteed action fights.

I mean, I have no issue with the fact they put Alexander/ Bradley on. It's easy to criticize in retrospect, but we as hardcore boxing fans wanted that fight. They need to pick up more fights in the vein of Donaire/Montiel and Marquez/Katsidis.

Exactly. What boxing needs, especially heavyweight boxing, is knock outs.

Manny Stewart has been saying this in recent bouts and he is correct.

HBO prefers Chisora's unpredictable style over Haye's blind striking. :)

Imagine if Chisora Wlad went the distance and it was just a jab festival?

That would be bad for boxing.................some people might never watch a boxing match ever again and be scarred for life.

I want to see an all out war between Showtime and HBO, but without counter programming.

Well, I make sure I watch just about every HBO, Showtime, and ESPN2 fights. I'd rather see Wladimir vs. Chisora than Lopez vs. Salido and Bute vs. Magee. Besides, Paul Williams, if he also fought that day, would likely be the "headline". In which case I'd take those over the Cotto PPV, Gamboa vs. Solis card.

Williams vs. whoever (I'd like realistically considering his last fight, Cintron, Bundrage, Powell, or ... I don't know) and Wlad vs. Chisora is a good two fight card if you just look at it and get the anti-HBO, anti-Klitschko, anti-world sentiment out of the way.

In case anyone is wondering why HBO would pick up this fight, it's because they are trying to secure the Adamek fight.

The fight will most likely end up in a KO. They should do it

Be great to see Wlad on HBO again. A decisive KO's just what the doctor (Steelhammer) ordered.

Not exacty the idea fight for HBO to pick up but there are a couple good reasons. First, I would imagine they pick it up pretty cheap since it will be tape-delayed and its part of HBO getting Wlad-Adamek as well. If Williams fought someone solid it would make for a decent card. I can see Williams facing someone like Mora, Latimore, Spinks, or someone on that level.

It's a good build up for Wlad - Adamek so it makes sense. Plus I imagine they're hoping for the KO.

Exactly. I am stunned how dumb esb posters are on this thread.

They want to secure Adamek and position themselves possibly for the Haye fight if he finds his nuts in time.

If they spend more than $5K on it, they spent too much.
