its not the matter of if they owe us anythin or not.... wow so jus because a pretty muscular british dude pulls out of the fight they had already sceduled 2 weeks away... they decide not to show boxing on that day, cuz its a relatively no name hw dude who fights mainly out of germany? seems alil wishy washy to me but thats ok. theres a reason no american will capture a HW title for a long time:lol::lol:... the heck with HBO.

That's the long and short of it actually. Relative no-name being the operative theme there. They're in the business to make money, not to subsidize unpopular fights in their broadcast area.

    No homo, BTW.

It's not the first awful decision by HBO regarding boxing... and I am sure that it won't be the last. I mean... why would they want to show a Unification fight which will provide the world with One True Heavyweight Champion... Ring Magazine Champion, in front of 60,000 screaming fans? Why would they want to provide us fans with that kind of excitement when they could possibly put together Dawson vs Tarver III?

Until one of the Ks retires, loses or they fight each other there isn't going to be a true heavyweight champ.

Greenburg said something to the effect that they have a limited amount of money for Wlad for this year, and with Haye out, they are saving their Wlad funding for a possible better and more exciting matchup later in the year.

Not sure I agree with that, but that's HBO's take on why they are passing on Chag Wlad.

It would be cool if it was on ESPN but they use the int'l broadcasts and the camera angles are just strange like the overhead shot of the ring during a round and it's spinning at the same time....lol

HBO produces the best viewing experience. showtime aint bad either. on a second thought, HBO needs to pick it up so we dont get dizzy during it

It speaks to the sad state of hw boxing. Did we ever think we would see a day when a fight for the Linear HW title wouldn't be broadcasted would you believe them?

Psshaw...it's just their Anti-Klitschko bias. Where's one of those winking sarcasm smiley deals?:hey That one'll do.

Anyways instead of putting the onus on HBO for NOT showing ONE Wlad fight (Despite consistently showing us Wlad fights for the last four years even the ones where the guy had no chance), why not turn the heat up on Showtime to do the right business move and pick this fight up?

That's nonsense. Vitali has only fought twice in over 5 years. Once against Sam Peter who was already beat by Wlad, and the other against Gomez. Sorry... that doesn't compete with wins over the Undefeated #1 contender Sam Peter, The ring Magazine #1 Heavyweight and IBF Champion Chris Byrd, the undefeated top contender Calvin Brock, the undefeated WBO Champion Sultan Ibragimov, as well as wins over Lamon Brewster, Tony Thompson, Ray Austin, and Hasim Rahman... all within the last 4 years... and now a win over the Undefeated WBA Champion Ruslan Chagaev on top of all that? This would leave Wlad with wins over all of those fighters, as well as the WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO, and Ring Magazine Heavyweight Titles. Vitali hasn't even come close to accomplishing even half of that in his entire career, let alone in his only two fights in the last 5 years.

Your point is really stupid then. HBO also showed up Wlad vs Iggy aka the most boring fight in the history of HW boxing.

And the fight they were going to show was between a Brit and Wlad.

You make it sound like HBO runs the HW division.

Except there is a clear number one and number two, Wlad and Vitali. If they don't fight (which they won't assuming Wlad wins) there is unfinished business there and number one is not the champ. Now assuming Chagaev beats Wlad then goes on to beat Vitali (hehehe) there WOULD be a champion as there is no unfinished business. But as long as there is a number two with nearly as legit a claim as number 1 and they don't fight there won't be a champion. I agree that Wlad's accomplishments **** all over Vitali's, but if there is business to be done, a question mark if you will, there isn't a champion, no matter how many belts he has around his waist.

HBO was also all set to show Povs vs Wlad (Povetkin isn't an American either unless he's Lennox Lewis-ing it).

Again you guys should be screaming at showtime to potentially strike at their rivals by picking up a MASSIVE HW unification fight.
