Danny was determined to get the KO, but Arias spoiled and held like a ***** throughout, Arias' foot was gone, Danny landed several bombs, Arias looked ready to go, but held and held and held all the way to the bell. Easy win for Danny.

    Jacobs 120-107

Bit of a mismatch although Arias is tough.

Arias fought to make it to the final bell. Jacobs was just too big, strong and good and Arias fought very negatively.

Jacobs landed some legit hard shots on this kid and really beat him up, he fought like a ***** for most of the fight but at least he wasn't pure glass.

Kid had a bit of toughness

My one critique is Jacobs should have went to the body more as it was obvious Arias was wincing badly when hit there in the last few rounds.

Jacobs did well but in all honesty he needed a more impressive performance replete with a stoppage. When chasing big fights/rematch with GGG you sort of are under an obligation to impress and he did not do anything tonight that would make any reasonable fan want to see him GGG again more than before anyway.

    It takes two to fight

Agree Jacobs should have another more impressive win before a Golovkin rematch.

Anyway with GGG, Canelo, Jacobs, Charlo, Lemieux, Saunders, Murata and Derevyanchenko the 160 division is hot as hell right now

By the way, I was going to post this earlier, but was distracted, but HBO ****ed up the spelling of Lemieux's last name too.

    They had it Lemiuex.

    Post fight thoughts-

Jacobs was excellent, a great performance. You can't ko everyone and Arias has a good chin and fought extremely negatively. I couldn't really fault Jacobs at all in this fight, he used his skill, speed, size. Jab was good, movement was great, had good out put and defensively very sharp. I hope he gets some good fights, maybe we could have Jacobs in some trilogies or epics pretty soon.

Arias was just outclassed and befuddled, he looked scared and clueless from the opening bell. He had a few moments where he put punches together and looked good but Jacobs shut him down and bullied him. I was saying before the fight he should be fighting Centeno Jr, Aleem or Khytrov and building up to a Jacobs but Magomedov to Jacobs was a few steps too far. I fancy him to beat those guys tbh after what I have seen. He has the best chin by far of any of them and I think he might be more skillful. The Magomedov fight shows he has a level of power but Jacobs made him too scared to let his hands go.

Jacobs has a lot of potential in front of him, with GGG getting on it's a toss up who is gonna run MW when he's gone and Jacobs is a suburb candidate. His biggest threat is Charlo imo.
