Bivol is only mildly surprised (far less so than is the crowd, or even the commentators) when Pascal, at the urging of his corner between rounds (unbeknownst to Bivol) threatened him with pulling the plug if he didn't show urgency soon, came roaring from the gate throwing a series of powerful hooks up top. Bivol weathered it and immediately resumed his surgical picking apart of Pascal once the latter slows down. Bivol is scoring counter jabs on the point of the crown as Pascal comes in head-first rolling in right hands, with his face parallel with the floor.

Bivol is forced to wait in a neutral corner as Pascal's glove is taped back up at some length. Bivol is landing jabs in multiples, unopposed. 1-1-2 from Bivol on the outside, easily sniping on the go, very fluid in his footwork even in this final third of the scheduled distance. Pascal is ducking in place, crossing his arms over his belly in case Bivol jabs low, peering at him over his rolling left shoulder. A few solitary right hand leads getting in for Pascal, but not enough to make it close.
