Anybody have any thoughts about the Col Bob Sheridan? Does commentary on a lot of old Don King PPVs and what not.

I personally get a kick out of him. He's always 10x more enthused than a human being should be and he turns it on and off seemingly outta nowhere.

"And Tyson now controlling the distance with a ja AND LOOK AH DIS! LOOK AT THIS! TYSON POURING IT ON WITH POWER PUNCHES AND UPPERCUTS TILLIS LOOKS BLASTED!....and the round ends."

    Bernstein is my favorite.

Teddy Atlas will never be on my list for top analyst, I rate Kenny as the 2nd coming of Lampley. Kenny can voice the fight excellently, he loves the sport, and he is great at calling the action. I prefer Kenny over lame ass Joe Tessatore.

I agree with you about Kenny. It's generally very good listening when Kenny is ring side with Tessitore. I like Teddy too though, but for different reasons.

Merchant's good in terms of placing fights in a historical perspective and always saying what he thinks. Steward's likely the most knowledgeable. But, Bernstein's more likely to give you an in-depth analysis of the fight, but has very little charisma. Teddy's good in that respect also, but the non-stop talk of "who has character" gets tiresome. Lampley's great at play-by-play, but he's pretty much just selling HBO fighters, so he's never giving you as honest an interpretation as Larry. Kellerman's not bad in his analysis, but he comes off as too much of a fanboy. He sometimes looks like he wants to hug Lennox. Foreman could say crazy things from time to time, but it surprised me that he was so knowledgeable given that everyone thought of him as a crude slugger. Above all, I'll take Lampley and Merchant in spite of their flaws.

I think I'm one of the few not bothered by the Colonel.

I'll go with Atlas...his enthusiasm shades it from Bernstein.

Atlas is the worst. Just because he says the same damned thing 50 times doesn't mean it's right.

He can be decent, but dude thinks he's more important than the fight in the ring most of the time, and he doesn't want to be wrong. At times he's talking about something that's the opposite of what's going on with in the ring.

I like the A-team HBO crew.. Lamps a homer, but he's good at being a homer. Merchant is grumpy, old, can't be bothered with ****.. but he fits the part. Lederman is kooky as hell, and sometimes scores fights all messed up, but he's funny.

I hate Lennox and Steward. No business being on a mic.

**** I almost forgot Lewis. That dude is hilarious. I almost feel bad for him because he trips over his words so frequently that it seems even he wonders how in the **** he got that gig.
