HBO Face-Off's are nothing without Floyd Mayweather. HBO Boxing will fold in 2 years!

That was the worst face -off ever, just ridiculously boring.

Khan was talking about how he would sell a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. but looks scared as **** to talk to Canelo, the illegitimate Mexican son of Mayweather.:patsch

HBO Face-Off and 24/7's are simply nothing without the showmanship and animation of Mayweather. Not even the last marquee star fighter for HBO, Manny Pacquiao has a 24/7 or Face-Off that people go back and watch.

I don't see boxing surviving on HBO too long, at least not in the major sense that it used too.:hi: To Max KKKellerman and that alcoholic wife beater and Nazi enthusiast Jim Lampley and that maggot show Fight Game. :happy

its all good willie!...i think hbo can survive...once andre ward beats kovalev the people will wake up....they will see they have a new top dog in their midst...

they will realize that what should be valued is a guy who dares to be great

not a guy who fights ibf mandos and c level guys in his division

ward may not have the charisma and ability to play the villain that floyd did

but ward has a bit of swagger to him...and the ability to annoy people with facial expressions...without being vulgar

HBO will have a new, genuine, star on its hands soon

    but i agree...floyd carried 24/7's and faceoffs.....theyre dead now

u saw the way ward performed in Creed...he was awesome...its too bad he didnt have a more prominent role.....because he nailed it....walked right in that gym with the swagger he has in real life and put that boy down ....its like he wasnt even acting.....

thats the kind of quiet arrogance that ward possesses.....when he starts talking/walking with that danny "stuntman" wheeler swagger the world will notice....HBO will push him as their star

The only good one was Provodnikov vs Alvarado, that was very good viewing.

Modern boxing as a whole has never been popular... mayweather and pacquiao are popular.

Floyd fought twice out of 365 days for majority of his career, it isn't like he fought 5-7 times a year..... Boxing was fine before his career started and it's fine now that it's over. It doesn't even feel any different actually, the guy ended his career fighting a guy who was 3-3 in his last 6 fights and got the s**t beat out of him by two of floyds past opponents(Ortiz and Guerrero).

The OP must be coming from one of those inner city barbershops. Floyd wasnt selling shiet til he was in his 30s. Guys like, Sugar Ray, Tyson and Golden Boy were selling to the masses in the their early 20s. The sport has had better stars than Floyd and wil continue to do so.
The HBO face off for Margarito vs Cotto 2, Hopkins vs Pascal 2, and Klitschko vs Haye were good. Real beef, national rivalries and apha dog personalities make for better face offs moreso than one cashcow can

those were some good face offs you listed

but floyd was also selling with a non crowd pleasing style, no built in fanbase and in a non glamour division....which speaks volumes

Floyd had rubbish face offs. The guy above got it right. Margo-cotto 2 were made for that format.

none of Floyd's faceoffs will top Hopkins-Pascal II, that one was epic

Floyd's 24/7 shows were getting stale. It was the same repeated phrases, the same soap opera beefs with his dad, girlfriend, 50 cent, the same cringeworthy sideways glances to camera to see if it was on him like David Brent in the Office.

His face offs weren't much better either as Floyd is dull and stumbles over his words when unscripted. Verbally, he has never been a good natural improviser.

HBO needs to check themselves, they have fallen quite far. Boxing specifically, and the network overall.

Nazi Enthusiast Jim Lampley.....Really?:patsch Cool It with the hyperbole.:verysad

And do you know KKKellerman is a Jew, which makes that insult rather repellant.
