Kirkland takes the majority of the round off before coming back with some brutal combination to sort of remind people that he can win this fight at any moment.

I think he's feeling sympathetic at this point.

He was winning quite comfortably and got caught by a big punch. That **** happens in boxing. Vera has an excellent chin and a pretty good punch, so he always has a chance. He has very few skills however and no defence at all.

Actually Lee was winning pretty easily before he got too cocky and got caught and absolutely battered. The stoppage is also a little sketchy.

 

In other words Larry. Kirkland is a KO waiting to happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Pretty much. He's not going to fool anyone by being some sort of defensive slickster. He's a tremendous power punching fighter with a questionable chin...pretty much the perfect package if you're looking for drama.

I think Angulo would handle him in a war of a fight.
