    We've got John-Juarez and JMM-Diaz tonight!

HBO has a really shitty intro. I miss the old one.

    "Speculated" 15,000 there

Largest Live Gate ever for a Texas boxing event apparently.

Juan Diaz is a draw beybeh.

Apparently Jacobs wiped some guy out.

Discussing the SFW/FW scene. A lot of hype on Gamboa and Juan Manuel Lopez.

Highlights of Jorge Barrios vs Rocky Jarez. Already hinting at potential referee bias with Juarez.

It's Kellerman, Lampley (complete with shitty buzz cut) and I assume Emmanuel Steward.

John taller, half inch arm length advantage, Juarez is heavier by the "unofficial" HBO scale by 2 lbs.

    Intros coming up.

Jab fest to start off. Juarez looking to try and set the momentum but Chris John is very calm right now. Juarez trying to be more active, landing a lot on the inside. Chris John has the jab working and nails cleanly when Juarez gets too close. Juarez looks much sharper than he normally does. Crowd boos as John headlocks Juarez. John lands a hook to end a very active round.

Ronnie Shields is demanding that Juarez demand on the inside. Chris John's corner says he needs to jab more and keep his space.

"The jab is the fight" says John's corner man as we begin round 2.

Juarez closing the gap, cutting the ring off and landing some good body shots on the inside. John does well when he goes to the outside but when it gets tight, Juarez lands on him. Rocky sends John running with a big right hand. Juarez going to the body and Chris John is holding. More good body shots from Rocky and John is looking a little flustered. Juarez is looking VERY motivated so far. John is moving, Juarez is chasing and closing the distance well. John trying to counter Rocky but a stiff jab sends him back. Nice body punch and Juarez gets warned for going low. Sketchy to say the least. Juarez is covering up as John tries to go hook-uppercut-hook. Juarez moving well and throwing some sharp hooks. John covers up well but that doesn't score points. Juarez missing with an uppercut as John tries to go for the long right from downtown. Close round to score. Good fight so far.

    1-1 in my eyes.

Chris John is not a bad fighter, but you'd have to think he's down 2-0 being in Juarez' home town. Texas has helped rocky out quite a few times.

Rocky is trying to muscle John now as Chris is starting to get comfortable from the outside. Rocky Juarez gets popped by some great hooks from Chris John and we've got some wrestling between the two. Chris John controlling the roun now as Juarez is looking for that one big KO punch now. Chris John clubs behind the head on Juarez drawing groans from the pro Juarez crowd. Chris John is at the distance where Juarez CAN'T hurt him. Lots of strong jabs and right hands from Chris John. John nails a big uppercut as the two show the willingness to trade. Chris John round.

    2-1 John

John is a very good technician. I have the fight 29-28 Juarez going into the 4th.
