Right... what these guys don't understand is that all the stuff that happens pre-fight means nothing. It's what happens in the ring is what I wait for..

Take this past weekends fight for example. All the **** talking back and forth, the press conference scrum. The interviews trash talk, the intense stare downs... but what did that equate to? Two rounds of fireworks?? Don't get me wrong, I personally enjoyed the fight very much, but did it end up being a spectacular, non stop action??? No it didn't... so why do guys give a **** if there is trash talk on the 24/7 and you have to have Mayweather type behavior on the show or it will be boring??? They do all that talking pre-fight but then in the ring, they don't do **** to back it up.. that's when it counts, when they are in the ring.. I don't get it, I guess.... just support the sport of boxing and watch the shows, no matter what type of personality the boxers have..

Yeah exactly. Most trash talkers can't back up anything. Also remember how Tyson Fury talked about a year how he's going to KO Wlad and then in the ring he was totally defensive and negative (although Wlad was a massive ***** on his own that night) and everyone was bored watching it.

I don't like him but Conor McGregor is one of the rare trash talkers in the combat sports lately that actually backs up what he's saying. Even if he doesn't win he always delivers the kind of fights he promises, his fights are always entertaining scraps and he goes for the finish (or gets finished).

The HBO 24/7 Part One had disappointing ratings drawing only 422 000 viewers and tickets have not been
selling slower than the Lemieux fight. This fight will be hard to make money because of Jacob purse 3m
and really is a HBO fight but because Jacobs has over priced himself because of his title its is now on PPV.
    The undercard is horrible.

This fight will probably not do good numbers because its not interesting. Golovkin is not interesting. Fans are bored of Golovkin fighting the same china chinned, B level fighter we've come accustomed to watching him fight.

Tickets went on sale December 24th? Its now well into March and tickets are selling slower than flip flop sandals in NYC in the middle of winter.

2 well mannered elite MWs with nothing bad to say about one another.

Sadly, theres no one to root against in this fight for the NON HATERZ INC.

Luckily, HATERZ INC is fully staffed, so the racists pricks can keep the hype going.

But they'd have been so thrilled if he was fighting a big, weight drained plodder who hasn't beaten a ranked contender in almost half a decade.

Chavez is better than anyone on Golovkin's resume.

Also, Chavez Jr. is a DREAM FIGHT for Golovkin. So it sounds like pure sour grapes when you clown the Canelo-Chavez fight.

I was talking with my fiance about this fight the other day during the 24/7. this is one of those fights where I Wish neither would lose, as both guys are among my faves. But it's gotta happen.

Better my ass. What exactly makes you say that? Him pulling an upset over vastly superior Andy Lee after being taken to school for 6 rounds? His gift over Zbik? His blatant robbery over MW journeyman Brian Vera? Jacobs is better than him both p4p or h2h. And certainly much, much better than this version of him who hasn't beaten any ranked contender in almost 5 YEARS who'll also be weight drained.

Also, Chavez jr was supposed to be an easy money grab fight for him. I wasn't interested in it when It was supposed to happen at 168, and I certainly wouldn't give flying **** about it if It was to happen at 164½.

I like both guys and Danny will push GGG to the limits in the early rounds

This will be good for both guys but far from a FKN PPV fight. Thank GOD for firestick

Who Said anything about favouring? He's on the same Level as an average GGG opponent we've been seeing in the last 5 years, only bigger and stronger, which may not be the case after boiling down to 164.5 from 180 something. I'd favour Jacobs over any Version of Chavez, and Willie Monroe, Murray, Macklin, Ouma, Lemieux, would beat the drained Chavez that I saw against Brian Vera.

People can smell bull**** now days. There was a positive from Floyd/PAC. Ronda Rousey, Manny Pacquiao, even Connor McGregor whose an "L" away from being exposed. The trend of hyping people up is being over-used.

Add that to the fact Golovkin getting new boxing shoes acting like a happy kid is boring af. Talk some smack. Theatricality is everything now days. Spice that **** up.

One can always watch WWE or some soap opera if they need drama and smacktalk in their life.
