Chagaev would Ko haye. The fans are beign robbed of this fight. Bad decision by HBO. We'll watch it anyway!!!
..anyone else notice, as the purses have gotten bigger the quality of the fights have gotten lower? must be my cinecism
People have cried for Unification for years and Wlad manages to do this on 3 weeks notice against a guy who has more crediable wins and they still cry!. **** Derrick and all the crybabies!
Then obviously HBO will regret their decision. But judging from Klitschko's last few boring performances, HBO made the right decision.
1. Haye prolly did stand little chance (realistically), but people world over were gunuinely excited for this fight. 2. I just don't get you guys who say that. It would be different if David Haye came from CW having won NO titles, etc.. BUT the fact that he was the Unified and Ring Magazine Champ, it's hardly unheard of for a fighter from one division (or 2) below to challenge the Champ. How many fights did Pac have at 140 before getting Hatton? How many fights at 147 did Hatton have to get to PBF? (1 previous, I think) Hopkins at LHW before he fought Tarver? This list can go on for hours, I believe you know it.:yep So why sir, in regards to #2, is it not OK for Wlad vs. Haye?
Chagaev is more proven and would beat David Haye. But Haye would make for a much better fight.....and HBO agrees. This is still a very good fight for short notice. If someone picks this up, Espn, Showtime, Versus, etc, then all is well.
Last I heard Chef said it is still 'alleged'. No one has seen anything official. Strange that he pulled out and didn't already have a doctor saying he couldn't fight isn't it?:think
Please list all the hard fights Wlad has been avoiding, since apparently there are an incredible crop of American HWs that are all incredible A level fighters that he is avoiding.
You speak some truth here in regards to a champ moving up a divison and challenging for a title. But the jump from cruiser to hwt is a lot bigger than any other division. Its like jumping up 2 or 3 divisions.
