chagaev is the best fighter klitschko has fought in years... i can not understand this complaint cuz this time he really could have picked an easy option because of short notice but instead he is fighting the best opponent there is at this moment.

HBO is abosolutely doing the right thing not to air wlad/chagaev....why risk your creadabilty like that....seeing how well rahman and wlad did.

 

Take a look at some of the damned mismatches HBO has shown over the years. Hell, they did not even show Vitali Vs. Peter, Showtime picked it up to HBO's loss. Many time HBO has shown nothing but glorified sparring sessions. Remember Roy Jones fighting for millions to fight postal worker, janitor, alcoholic, garbage man, etc.

 

The exact same can be said for Wlad, the man has had over 3 years since defeating Bryd for the IBF belt. Yet he's far from a household name in the states, probably because of his lack of a personality as well as an exciting fighting style, something Haye has an abundance of.:good

 

People I know love to see Vlad's fights.

 

That was 6 ****ing years ago. I believe it was only 2 years ago that David "My daddy is Carl Thompson" Haye got his ass handed to him by a 40 year old man that was massive underdog and considered easy pickins for the Hayemaker. that didnt turn out so well

Haye pulled out, and HBO has gone on record saying it still wants Haye-Klitschko to happen and therefore it is putting off televising Wlad-Chagaev in hopes that the Haye fight still happens this year and that they can buy it then at a future date in 09.

 

Boxing is a fringe sport in the US anyways. Most people don't know any boxers and that's the truth of the matter. I think Wlad has a great personality. The guy is class and always funny in interviews. You can tell he loves to be around people. I guess because he doesn't talk trash or strart fights in nightclubs, he doesn't fit the American icon model :yep

I expect HBO was making a power play at Wlad to force him to wait for Haye. But since Haye's injury status is very unclear know, it is impossible to set a reasonable date. I expect them to pick it up. I would be shocked if they didn't.

 

Stop making a fool out of yourself already. I did not say that Wlad was a household name, but at least a decent amount of people have heard about him and are aware that he's at least a boxer. The same cannot be said about David Haye. He's a total nobody in the States.

P.S. I see you've switched from being a Peter nuthugger to being a Haye one Who's next on your list once the Klitschko's are through with this British punk?

 

I think Vitali will knock Haye out if the WBC allows it. Vitali stopped Peter, then fought mandatory Gomez, so WBC should allow him to fight Haye instead of Maskaev. Hope WBC will come to it's senses.

 

I would rather Haye fight Arreola to determine Vit's next opponent so we can find out who is the fraud.

Meanwhile Vitali can get rid of Maskaev or that oaf Valuev.
