I blame Max Kellerman for this one. He always seems desperate to create a NYC star.

Margarito and hamed were hype jobs. Just because you held a world title doesn't mean you're not a hypejob. It's how you preform against the best fighters on the elite level that separates you from the best. Hamed fell short

Poor Seth Mitchell. He looked the part and seemed like a good ambassador for the sport. Unfortunately, he was a better athlete than he was a fighter.

I never remember Crisco Ball Arreola being as motivated as he was for Seth. Arreola was determined to not lose to a football player.

I disagree. Neither were hypejobs. Only way you say Marg was a hypejob if you don't give him credit for anything pre-Mosley scandal. He has wins over Cotto, Cintron, Martinez and Clottey. In today's boxing that's a p4p resume easily. Hamed had a stacked resume, he got schooled by Barrera, but that doesn't mean he's a hypejob.

I totally disagree. First elite fighter he fought he got schooled 8-4.. now if it was close, then it would prove otherwisee but when you favored to win and expected to win by ko, then the word you're looking for is overrated.. and that my friend= hypejob!

I'm guessing you're talking about Hamed. Kelly wasn't elite? I agree that there is a better case for Hamed being a "hypejob" since he was hyped like a mother****er.

Yeah Hamed. Margarito's best attribute was being able to take a good punch. His skills were limited and if you can sustain his come forward style, and you had the skills, talent and power to keep him honest you can cause him major problems. He was ok I guess but his hype wasn't nearly as crazy as hameds was.

You know Golovkin fought at Light-welter? Kovalev too. Canelo just didn't have an amateur career so his moving up was in the pros.

    Anyway, GGG didn't lose.

    Golovkin-Son of Canelo 2x
    Kovalev-Son of Ward 2x
Lomachencko-Son of Salido ran off to ESPN.

All took L's from guys that HBO hates. Big ole hypes that were suppose to TAKE OVER American boxing. Loma still has a chance as long as he ducks Mikey Garcia he won't get his **** pushed in again in front of his pops. Mikey is gonna rematch Salido for weekend custody over their son soon.
