Vargas was far from just some kind of hype job. This guy was what like 20 ? Destroying damn good fighters like Yory Boy Campas and Raul Marquez and whether or not you believe he defeated Winky Wright WATCH the fight no matter what he was still very competitive far more competitive then Trinidad or Mosley or others where agianst Winky. Vargas CLEARY beat Ike Quartey first and only guy to do that until Winky did many years later. As for the Trinidad fight please dont ignore the momentum Vargas had when Trinidad threw blatant low blows and basically stole the momentumn back. The DLH fight was actually 2 years later and agian very competitive you can argue he was winning the fight when he was stopped. If hes a hype job then so is DLH and Trinidad for allowing Vargas to fight them tough and therefore that makes everybody those guys had tough fights with hype jobs Whitaker, Mosley, Winky etc. Think and actually watch fights before you open your mouth.
a Vargastard and a paultard all in one! Vargas' best win was a gift win over winky. When your best win was a gift win and you lost ALL of your big fights, you suck. What you have done is provide a list of excuses for his losses in big fights. One or two losses maybe you can try to excuse away but when you loose all of them then you suck.
Don't wanna' call them hypejobs, but the below recieved decent promotional backing from HBO, only to not quite reach the heights (yet) HBO were expecting them to: - Anthony Peterson - Paul Williams - Chris Arreola - Juan Diaz - Andre Berto - Devon Alexander - Chad Dawson Oh, and this video's worth a watch: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Pet7vZPV4Q[/ame]&
I think he was on showtime rather than HBO but they used to hype the hell out of Mike Arnaoutis before his career went down the toilet. He had his fights televised from a very early start which was odd.
