I am not a conspiracy theorist or anything like that. I used to love the HBO broadcast and thought they were the best. I am a big fan of Jim lampley and Kellerman. However I am starting to think that they are being influence by the suits upstairs. Jim Lampley whenever he does an interview outside of HBO he has shown to be a MAGNIFICENT boxing mind. It sucks that he is being corrupted.

In the pacquiao fight they repeatedly gave pacquiao shots he did not land and when Marquez would land FLUSH shots I could not believe all 3 commentators would stay quiet. Same thing last night with Kahn.

I know how boxing is, its all about superstars and making cash cows, the De La hoya, the canelos and the pacquiaos and mayweathers of the world, but before these fighter would EARN it first then get the praise and stardom, now they are trying to CREATE these stars.

Im sick of the its a close fight it could have gone either way mentally, why? because everytime this is the case it goes to the favorite/star/star in the making etc. FINALLY a close fight goes to the underdog/opponent etc.

Yeah said the same in my thread, it was disgraceful commentary.. "I smell home cooking" ..really?

They never mentioned petersons best work, only saying "good body shot there" every now and again/

    Always have been.

It's one of the reasons that George Foreman never fit in.

I think if RJJ wasnt f@cking off in Atlanta, there would have been some balance ringside. Another thing I noticed is that Larry really seemed like he was struggling all night.

I agree with the premise of the TS but KKKKKKHHHHHHAAAAANNNN!!!! was the new golden child and could make the network a lot more cash then Peterson, so why would they not hype up Khan more? This part of your argument makes no sense!

RJJ is almost as bad as Lampley, Stewart, Kellerman and Merchant are probably the most balanced guys there, Lederman and Lampley clearly have agendas.

I love the production quality HBO has but its getting unbearable.
"Im not comparing him to Sugar Ray Leonard or anything but...blah blah blah"
They were on Khans dick all night. Trying to justify throwing more gives you rounds.

Normally I love Merchant and Lampley. They can have their biases, but I traditionally respect their calls of the action tremendously. This fight was something else. Kellerman at least recognized the tremendous body work of Peterson, the ineffectiveness of most of Khan's flurries, and that the point deductions (both via the 'knockdowns' and penalties) weren't so clear cut.
