I hear you man, they are far from perfect and have been guilty of their fair share of issues. They are a profit business and because of it will never be perfect but them at least speaking up whenever they feel they safely can is still valuable. Them speaking up late is better than never. And I'm not sure what you're speaking of with the Alvarado situation? Has it come to light why he was so ill prepared and I missed it? Don't recall..

Did they present new evidence in Cotto vs Margarito?

They took a hard stance on it in the lead up to the rematch

Peter Nelson is a 34 yr. old Harvard graduate and took over the top spot at HBO Boxing early December.

We may be seeing a cultural change with HBO's willingness to challenge Boxing's "Old Guard".

Time will tell, but right now both Lampley and Kellerman point out that in their opinion, GGG is the Middleweight Champion, and that O$CAR will delay the Canelo/GGG Mandatory bout as long as possible.

Hopefully... we will be seeing more honest reporting.

No, but they took a harder stance on it than I have seen them do before. They said Margarito was guilty in their court (of public opinion) based on the circumstantial evidence case being strong enough. And they matched the blood covered and plastered ladened wraps from the Shane fight and said the stains matched up perfectly in the area where Maragrito was photographed after the Cotto fight.

It's the first time I seen them talk about that particular evidence and the first time I seen anyone connect the dots so matter of fact and bluntly. It was good and powerful evidence the manner it was presented, they showed the photograph and then they showed the wraps in it's exhibit "a'" case.

Ah, great info, that must have something to do with it, thanks for sharing!! Also it's the first time (in a long time at least) where they have had a show/platform to talk about outside politics of boxing (The Fight Game) instead of just upcoming bouts.
