Chad Dawson and Alfredo Angulo. When Dirrell gets bigger, they'll probably entice him as HBO has a larger bank account. Timothy Bradley will probably go too. HBO simply has a lot more money to dish out than Showtime. They can get any Showtime fighter once they explode.

Paul Williams. He was a showtime fighter, had the fight with Margo on HBO and wins, next title defense is on HBO. He loses, HBO kicks him to the curb and the rematch is on Showtime. He wins and now HBO comes wanting him to fight on BAD against Verno.

Chad Dawson has all his fights on Showtime and beats Tarver. After beating Tarver now HBO wants to broadcast the rematch and if he wins I guarantee you all his future fights will be on HBO.

Once Andre Dirrell, Andre Ward, and Bradley get marquee wins they will all be on HBO until they lose.

these are my thoughts about hbo as well. sure they put a few ridiculous fights on ppv, show some ammount of bias and are the "evil" corpotation. but they still have the best production values, great documentaries, put on the biggest fights etc...... i think the positives they bring outweigh the negative. also, as one poster said, it's boxing thats hurting boxing.

Man with out HBO, we'd (boxing and it's fans) be ****ed! They've made some mistakes, been called out on them (T. Hauser has been lighting them up, and it seems to be having affect), and at least appear to be trying to go back in the right direction.

Boxing NEEDS HBO, sadly not the other way around. HBO would be fine just with their movies and ****, and we're really lucky they do boxing, because all of regular networks (showtime, vs., ESPN aside) don't give a **** about boxing. I for one am grateful for HBO and hope they continue to provide coverage of big fights.

    Not this year bro.

good quality fights on regular HBO in the first 3 months of 2009

    Berto vs Collazo
    Margo vs Mosley
    John vs Juarez
    JMM vs Diaz
    Mayorga vs Angulo
    Campbell vs Funeka
Dawson vs Tarver I know the first was a one sided but still they are both good fighters and I'm definately tuning in.

any more? there could be some i'm missing. 2009 so far gotta give HBO props.

    HBO is great for Boxing.

Well, their problem with Froch is that there are about 8 people in the US who have even heard of him. HBO spent a bundle doing Calzaghe-Kessler, and it did the worst ratings of the entire year. Dont expect them to rush right out and open the checkbook for other obscure foreign fighters........

I disagree, HBO is still the best network for boxing.

HBO= "Home of Beloved Oscar" Oscar de la Hoya could take a **** in the ring, and guys like Beware of Dawg and Widdowmaker would not only purchase the PPV for 54.95, they would be bidding for the fecal matter, preserved in bronze, on EBAY.

PEOPLE LIKE DLH ARE THE ONES THAT HURT THE SPORT.... Latest example is showing up at boxing's nemesis show @ the exact same time when a huge boxing match was being aired on HBO (Mosley vs. Margo/ MMA)... Yes , I know he was well rewarded financially for it... It still seems like Judas selling Christ for some coins...

The production values of HBO just make averything else look amateurish in my opinion.

Not very well up on the politics that some of you guys object to, I just love watching HBO's broadcasts though.
