Brook would school Canelo, in my opinion and I don't see any circumstance under which Golden Boy take this fight. They'll duck him. Brook hits harder than most of Canelo's back catalogue.

Would wager that Brook, on the scorecards, won more rounds against GGG than Canelo would manage.

Of course Canelo isn't a natural pressure fighter. He's an EXCELLENT counter puncher. Unless he's fighting a slick boring fighter like Lara who is exclusively on the back foot Canelo won't be chasing anyone around the ring. He will do his thing and create openings with his feints and draw his opponent in like he usually does and counter.

I hope you don't think that you can use the GGG-Brook fight to gauge how Canelo-Brook would be. They fight NOTHING alike.

Trout, Lara, and Cotto all fought uncharacteristically... Why? Becauase it was too dangerous to sit on their punches. We have neve seen Lara run as much as he did with Canelo, not before, not after. Same thing with Cotto, and Trout didn't even try to hurt Canelo like he succesfully did against Cotto because he seemed weary of Canelo's counters.

I can't see what Brook brings to the table that Canelo hasn't already seen.

    Canelo LOST to Lara.

    Canelo-Trout was a DRAW.

He doesn't bring anything Canelo hasn't seen, but he has the tools to benefit from his weaknesses which was shown in the fights that you mentioned. Those fights are exactly the reason why Canelo/Brook would be an interesting fight.

I respect your opinion, but I cannot agree with it since I've never seen Brook take the role of slick defensive fighter, and I also do not agree he is a better nor a smarter fighter than a fighter of Cotto with all his accolades.

Great match, can't wait, hopefully it comes to fruition, unless Canelo ducks him too, I've been saying since well before the match with GGG was announced that Brook would beat Canelo, and I'm sticking to that prediction.

Counter punch the hell out of him just like Mayweather did, and since I can almost guarantee Brook his harder than Floyd, Trout and Lara you can add in Canelo being more cautious in his approach, but that's to be expected since he was cautious with old ass Cotto. If you can't see that stylistically Brook would present serious issues for Canelo, then what the **** is wrong with you?

What evidence do you have of that, outboxing Kirkland and Angulo?:qmeparto: Canelo has struggled with every pure boxer he's been in the ring with, Brook has the superior skillset.

Brook was moving nicely against GGG, who was super aggressive.
Cement feet Canelo is perfect for him.

I want all of you GGG doubters to watch just how much time Canelo spends on the ropes against Kirkland, and no he's not just playing rope a dope. He was gassing by the end of the second round. Canelo will be torn asunder by GGG, imagine that's GGG instead of Kirkland, why wasn't Canelo slipping, sliding, rolling and parrying all of his shots while retreating along the ropes? No he stood there covered up and got pounded to the arms. Maybe Canelo was just laying on the ropes inbetween combos for long stretches of time, taking shots to "please the fans" right?
