HBO is Interested in Canelo-Brook for May 2017 (!)

I've seen Canelo move forward to press the action plenty of times, I'm watching him do it right now on the Cotto replay. He's not that great at it because of the cement feet, Brook can stay on the outside with a jab and a long right hand and score a lot of points (of course we know that won't matter)

 

Great fight as long as 8 months is enough time for his eye to heal

 

The difference being that Brook fought off the back foot against GGG while against Canelo he would be moving in and out like Cotto was. Canelo wins but it won't be by a landslide and I'm skeptical about a stoppage.

 

They really are taking this counter puncher narrative seriously. LOL

Just like all the MonGEALEoids who claimed his volume punching was was going to be GGG kryptonite.

 

If this happens at 154, I'd say the weight will be perfect for Brook, while Canelo will struggle to make it.

I think the vast majority of people would have Brook in front, but judging by how the Amir Khan scorecards were at the time of the stoppage, he may not have won clearly enough to avoid the robbery.

If they fought and Canelo won(and assuming he beats Smith), that would be the 5th fighter Canelo has beaten from "up norf"
