**** them rigo is the p4p number 1 skillwise. i'am watching boxing since 1995 and this guy is the most talented guy i have ever seen!!! same goes for wladimir, this ****er is plain and simple great. both are nothing like boring. rigo is just a ****ing genius and master of boxing and wladimir developed to an almost unbeatable fighter who knocks almost everyone out. so the american media is destroying our sport.

I think HBO threatened Bradley to stop showing his fights if he doesn't put on action packed fights. That's the reason he went toe to toe with Provodnikov. They want knockouts and wars, which is more appealing to the casual fan, they assume.
GB and Haymon are to blame too with their shitty cards where they showcased their prospects against overmatched journeymen.

Boxing will never die especially around the world, just had to get that out first. Now I agree 100% HBO and Arum are totally wrong about Rigo. Rigo's domination over Nonito was beautiful art and any true boxing fan will agree. Different fans get excitement in different ways and every time Rigo fights I'm happy. Just watching his fight against Kennedy is another example how easy and natural his abilities are in the ring and how amazed I get at what he does against his opponents.

I agree to an extent but they are a business. HBO is in it to make money. We should be lucky that ESPN, HBO, and Showtime still show boxing. I don't agree with alot of their moves but I am grateful for watching the fights.

Rigo's biggest issue is that he's too old and is starting from too little name value. His skills are worth much more than his name is. HBO's not going to bother with fighters like that.

It used to be, and to an extent still is, that old unbeaten foreigners are brought in to be opponents, not "the guy". They're pretty records for "the guy" to add to his ledger. Those older, foreign fighters aren't supposed to win because there's no money in it for the promoters and networks, especially if they don't have a "casual friendly" style like Pac or Golovkin. The cards are already stacked against them. You saw what Rigo had to do just to get a close points victory against Donaire- on the cards, Nonito only needed to win 2 more rounds than he did to win the fight.

Rigo's going to be ostracized like Pirog and Kotelnik because he's old, doesn't have a huge built in audience, doesn't have a super exciting style, and made the house fighter look bad. And it sucks. It's a big part of what's wrong with boxing. Even Sergio had to overcome it, and that's with an exciting style and being Secksy Sergio.

First, TR and GBP fighters can't fight each other. Now, hbo and showtime fighters can't fight each other. In 10 years, blacks and whites can't fight? that's what wrong with boxing now. So many great match ups that won't happen because of greed and stupidity

You are correct boxing will never die in other places of the Globe, because boxing fans have a broader respect for the sport and a appreciation of boxing skills, Not so in the US. The skill level of US fighters is going so fast its pitiful. When have Brazil saying their going to kick your ass in the next Olympic, you know your programs sux.
    com on man Brazil ?!

HBO, along with Lampley, Kellerman sux. Biased commentating and playing boxing politics. "Oh he just landed a solid left" Lampley..... then the other fighter answers with a good combo but it goes uncalled. The only sanity on that desk is Roy Jones Jr.
