This thread isn't about Mayweather its about having the charisma and respect to have a following who will come out in huge numbers regardless of who you fight. Its about the average guy with an HBO subscription giving a **** about watching the fights on Saturday nights so the rest of us can continue to watch fights on HBO, and a boring fighter doesn't put asses in the seats.

Floyd is exciting but you know. You always get an impression that he's doing a lot FLIGHT than FIGHT.

I mean slick but people want to see action. Unfortunately this is boxing. Unless there's a rule against excessive running, hugging etc. This style of boxing will continue.

We don't want to see phone booth WAR but when the crowd booes because one is moving too much (running) then it's time to apply the less running and hugging rule.

Also if we have the mitchell vs Banks 2 situation. Then the fight should be red flagged and

stopped and declared a no contest.

Correction, Floyd had been a staple on HBO since he was in his early 20's. He's been making multi million dollar pay days for almost 15 years. As much as Merchant gave Mayweather ****, HBO kept putting him on and paying him millions. So obviously people were paying attention. I think Mayweather made something like $3 or $4MM against Corley. You tell me how many fighters are getting that sort of pay day even today.
