    Munguia proved a lot tonight

Can go 12, throws tons of punches, can take a decent shot, doesn’t wilt, great body thumper

He also had no defense and that must be fixed if he wants to rise to the elite level

    lol I bet.

Yeah he'll definitely get clipped and taken out at some point if he doesn't work on the holes in his defence.

For the record, I'm not one to disagree with a guy who's been hit by both, but I'm not sure how accurate Liam is when he says Canelo hits harder, Canelo has the clear edge is accuracy, his punch placement is immaculate, whereas Jaime swings like a madman, especially when drawn into a brawl, and isn't necessarily landing the type of shots that KO's guys, if he had Canelo's technique and took his time, their power would be equal. and I think he would have gotten Beefy out of there.

Its similar to how Rubio was able to soak up Lemieux's massive but predictable bombs and wait for him to gas, yet he never had that opportunity with GGG, who probably has equal power as David, because he couldn't predict where the shots were coming from, and it was a shot he didn't see, and couldn't prepare for, that took him out.

I like how Smith was asked to compare Canelo and Munguia and he responded by saying he didn't want to compare the two, but then he said later on in the interview that Canelo hit harder.

That's a highly inappropriate comment. Show some decorum.

What I meant by that was that Smith initially wouldn't compare the two when asked, then later on in the interview decided to do exactly that. I liked it, meaning it was funny that Smith said he wouldn't compare the two then did.

He has some traits of Fernando Vargas imo but Vargas at 21 was truly a special fighter. Can Munguia be just as good? Well see

Mungia another overrated GOLDEN BOXER that gets exposed once he meets a world class boxer. Poor kid.

We learned a lot about mungia more than if he blew out smith early, smith is tough operator took one hell of a beating. Jamie has got a lot to work on but he’s only 21 and possibly hasn’t got his man strength yet witch is scary.

    What a cracking fight!

Credit to both guys. Liam is a good boxer, pity he doesn't seem to have the power to go along with his skill in the ring.

Munguia is raw but must have one of the best engines in the sport. I kept on thinking that he'd put too much in but he maintained that work rate in almost every round.

Really enjoyed it. Would've loved to see beefy win in Vegas but hopefully he can be content with a brave and committed performance against a younger, stronger guy.
