I could see after the third how determined he looked. He has such a look of determination in his eyes, that's why I said early on the fight when Linares was still dominating that Luke wouldn't go without a fight.

Fast car could've jetted IJL in and got him appointed, just to make sure. :monoloco:

Fair play to Campbell, though: even though he lost, he did significantly better than I thought he would.

How did the judge score 115-113 Campbell. Did he score and even round or what?

I like Eddie but he can shut his pie hole, Linares won the fight and before Hearn starts talking "bad decision" shall we go through a few real bad decisions Matchroom cards have thrown up.

This was one of the best 'chess matches' we've seen in a long time. Linares so smooth and fast, Campbell solidly skilled and smart, both showed a lot of subtle moves, and great tactics to get back in it when the other did well. I not just really enjoyed it but feel I missed too much so I'll be rewatching this a few times.

    Hahahaha

Yeah Campbell hung in there and did well after the knockdown, he deserves credit but I'm having none of this delusional "that was a bad decision" rubbish LOL

In no way could this fight have went either way, it was a close fight in that Campbell showed well and hung right in there with the best LW in the world. But he took his foot off the gas right when he pulled even in the fight and gave away the last 3 rounds that were decidedly won by Linares. Campbell won the rounds he won and Linares definitely won the rounds he won, meaning the winner should not be in doubt 7-5 115-112 because of the 2nd round knockdown Jorge Linares.

Oops, I had both RBRs open and mistyped a Dorticos comment here, but immediately deleted it.

Actually my bad 115-113 is not a plausible card. I meant 114-113 for Luke would be plausible since at best you could give him 7 rounds with every benefit of the doubt. I thought 114-113 for Linares was the right decision though.
