I didn't score them, but just watching regular it looked like Nietes deserved to win wide but only got a draw. The guys saying the Estrada fight was close seem to be suffering from unmet expectations. Estrada was in command and landed nearly 2 to 1 the whole fight even if he was getting hit an alarming amount. Like seriously, his defense was ****, and Rungvisai would spark him cold in 2 if he brought that same game to a rematch. But his offense was on point, more than making up for how porous his defense was.

I really can't buy those compubox numbers. Donnie didn't throw enough to land 70 more punches.

SSR comes out of 2018 looking fresh while everyone else is worn out and arguably spent. Providing he doesn't labor at all with Diaz that is... Waiting to see how Gonzalez looks this weekend, if he looks good there's a chance he can regain a decent standing providing he stays the **** away from SSR.

    @PinoyProdigy

    Round 1 Palicte 10-9
    Round 2 Palicte 10-9
    Round 3 Palicte 10-9
    Round 4 Palicte 10-9
    Round 5 Nietes 10-9
    Round 6 Nietes 10-9, close
    Round 7 Nietes 10-9
    Round 8 Palicte 10-9
    Round 9 Palicte 10-9, close
Round 10 Nietes 10-9, very close
    Round 11 Palicte 10-9, close
    Round 12 Nietes 10-9

    115-113 Palicte

116-112 Palicte or 114-114 is fine as well.

A few observations I jotted down.

I love it that Aston came out to Are You Gonna Go My Way? is that a subtle play for favorable scorecards? Nonetheless, its a great under appreciated Lenny Kravitz song. I love Queen dearly, I even did a thread on them, but We Are The Champions from Donnie, come on... that's so cliched at this point.

Max right out of the gate dickriding Donnie hard, you know who he's rooting for here.

Jim kissing Ward's ass, saying how we all know it was Edwin Rodriguez that Reiss was warning, not you Andre, barf.

Harold Lederman doesn't seem to know what's going on, he called Palicte, Palicianos or something like that.

Ward is "enamored" by the "art of taking off a round". The skill he never perfected.:risas3:

The spiel by Andre about the evil game of taking off rounds that Donnie is playing was absolutely hilarious.

I have it 4 rounds to 2 as well Harold.o_O

"He's not going to outbox Nietes" Um... Max, he kind of is.

Max says that he's shocked that Palicte is "still in this", because by this time in most Nietes matches, Donnie is in complete control, or looking for the stoppage. Max showed his cards with that statement, it revealed what he's really thinking about how this match is playing out.

Lederman has forgot how to add, is he okay? I think he might be **** faced.

Max and Jim talking about Donnie's age, let me transalte, they're making excuses for the so so showing.

Jim doesn't want to see Nietes fight Sor Rungvisai. I do, I do!!!!:applaudit:

Max asks him if Donnie would put up a better fight a year or two ago, Jim says yes, Jim thinks Donnie looks bad, another card revealed. For the record, Sor Rungvisai would bludgeon Donnie two years ago as well, and Palicte for that matter.

Max is saying that Nietes had previously mastered the art of nibbling at corners, now he has to cut corners even closer, another revealed hand.

Then of course the self righteous intellectually dishonest cries of robbery, with Max stating that it was a 9-3, 8-4 type of decision, right in line with Harold's pre filled out 9-3 card, that for the record Harold stated, many rounds were almost too close to call.

HBO and their propaganda at this point has gotten embarrassing, you can actually hear it in their voices as they're spewing their drivel, they don't believe what they're saying. How far the mighty have fallen. Nobody tunes in to see propaganda, they tune in to see boxing, cover what's going on in the ring instead of sticking to corporate talking points.:ohno

Man, i am really pissed about the whole media who is acting like Nietes was robbed badly here.

Badlefthook wrote "Nietes robbed badly"....lmao i just went crazy on their facebook page

I had a huge bet on Palicte to win +250 and got my money back but still total unlucky result imo, Palicte never ever lost this.

Hope we will see a rematch next Superfly.

No thank you. Future hall of famer Nietes isn't physical enough to cause a dent against the top 115 pounders. I hope the rematch with Palicte does happen so he can become a 4 division world champion with a victory but I personally want him to move back down. I know he's raring to go against the top guys and I commend him for that but I don't want to see what happened to Chocolatito happen to Nietes.

Palicte impressed me a lot. I thought for sure he was going to fight like he normally does, like a bulldozer. But he fought smartly and used his height and reach. He showed far better technical skills than a lot of people expected. I knew he would put up one hell of a fight, and that he did.

You know...Nietes Vs Ioka would be a pretty interesting one. Both looking to win a world title in a 4th weigth class (become the third man to go 105, 108, 112, 115)....

For your sake I hope he moves back down, but I'm a SSR fanboy, so anything to boost his resume is a plus for me. But yeah, it wouldn't be pretty, he's too small to hang with most of the guys at 115.

I love Ioka, one of my favorite fighters in the lower weights, personally I think he'd do a number on Donnie, he looked amazing in the few rounds I saw against Arroyo last night. Which I plan on finishing soon.

If the Nietes-Palicte rematch does happen in SuperFly 4, I could see the winner matching up with Ioka in SuperFly 5. Arroyo was #3 in the WBO rankings. Ioka probably moves up to #1 now. I won't count out Donnie against Ioka but he needs to up his output if he wants to have a chance. I'd favor Ioka versus both but great matchups either way.

    100-89 Kazuto Ioka

Damn fine debut for Ioka here in the US, put on a masterful performance, yeah the 6th through 8th it tightened up a little in terms of landed punches, but Ioka still managed to outwork McWilliams in each of the rounds, a consistent near relentless performance, and I absolutely loved the ironic use of Big Gun from AC/DC from Ioka as his entrance music.:qmeparto: The moment that match was over those sleazy weasels Max and Ward went into overdrive trying twist the fight into something it wasn't by trying to convince what I assume they think is an incredibly gullible audience by implying it was 6-4 type close, thankfully on occasion Lampley shows he still has a modicum of integrity and shut both of their asses down with authority by saying he saw a wide victory for Kazuto. Bravo Jim.:applaudit:
