Did you ever score Estrada vs Orucuta? I'm curious to see how you scored the first round among others.

My scorecard for Nietes vs Palicte is up in your scorecard depot thread btw if you wanna take a look.

Juan Francisco Estrada vs. Felipe Orucuta 12 Rounds @ Super Flyweight

    Round 1 Estrada 10-9
    Round 2 Estrada 10-9
    Round 3 Estrada 10-9
    Round 4 Estrada 10-9
    Round 5 Orucuta 10-9
    Round 6 Orucuta 10-9
    Round 7 Orucuta 10-9
    Round 8 Estrada 10-9
    Round 9 Estrada 10-9
    Round 10 Orucuta 10-9
    Round 11 Estrada 10-9
    Round 12 Estrada 10-9

    116-112 Juan Francisco Estrada

The first four were close, but I thought Estrada's defense was a lot tighter that it was given credit for, and he landed more than he was given credit for. Orucuta tok over i the middle and outworked Juan Francisco, whse defense was shoddy as hell for the rest of the fight, but then Estrada regained control for the majority of the final third, hurting Orucuta in the 11th and 12th. Close fight, but a definite Estrada win.

Yeah that is lol, this Nietes vs Palicte fight is just stuck on my brain for some reason. I think because I can't see what the vast majority is even talking about with this robbery/wide win for Nietes talk. I think I even let it sway me as when I watched it for the second time, I scored it for Nietes 115-113. But then I waited several hours and it kept bothering me because I didn't feel like my own scorecard was accurate, like I allowed myself to be swayed with the talk of robbery. So I watched it a 3rd time with no sound, and sure enough 115-113 Palicte. Now I can see a draw still totally, rounds 7, 10 & 11 were really close. But I can't see how you can score that fight wide for Nietes, or either fighter for that matter.

Ioka is brilliant. Glad he was able to get the "mainstream" exposure he has missed out on. Elite talent with a truly elite resume.

Does he have the size to fight The Monster? I have such a hard time being able to tell in the Bantam and under weight classes.

I don't think it is size, as in mass, that would be the difference in the outcome... I would favor Inoue for sure. But from a longer-term prospect, since Inoue will be busy for the next year+, Inoue vs. Ioka is mad enticing and I'd be cool with beating that drum. However, I also, um, haha, would kinda rather just see Ioka settle at 115.
