Haven't been on the board much today, so if this was already posted, moderators please delete.

Anyway, according to Thomas Hauser, Golden Boy and Main Events have contacted HBO for a July 11th slot to air Hopkins vs. Adamek. But apparently HBO has put a hold on the offer, since it's a date Al Haymon is planning to use as Mayweather's return/tuneup bout. Haymon wants the fight on WCB, instead of PPV, fearing that low PPV numbers could "undermine Mayweather’s negotiating position for a late 2009 fight against the winner of Pacquiao-Hatton." Floyd apparently wants big $ for the tuneup fight, so how it plays out is anyone's guess.

    Thoughts?

Dan Rafael now has an article up as well on ESPN.com

"He is coming back. I've been around him. He's ready to dance again very soon," said one source, who recently spent time with Mayweather and has known him for years. "He's itching to go. The way he sounded, he is willing to take on whoever they throw in his face. He would do the [Manny] Pacquiao-[Ricky] Hatton winner, Shane Mosley, Juan Manuel Marquez. The only one he doesn't have an interest in is [a rematch with] Oscar De La Hoya. But in Floyd's mind, he knows there is one Godzilla, and that's a fight with Pacquiao."

He's obviously waiting for the Pac/Hatton fight, I'm positive he'll announce his comeback to fight Pacquiao(if he wins).

It would be a great thing to see Mayweather in attendance at the Pac-Hatton fight and maybe even interviewed by Merchant to reveal his future intentions.

If he does take a tuneup, it'll be interesting to see who he does pick.

I think so to but the way he and his team play **** out so secretly i doubt we will hear boo out of him, let alone be in attendance at the fight.
