First; Quintana and Martinez are both southpaws, but they have little else in common. Quintana is a good technical boxer. Martinez is very unorthodox, hits harder, and is faster than Carlos.

Second; Sergio's habit of holding a low guard will probably cost him the fight. It's just not a good idea against a volume puncher.

Third; up until the last few days I was worried about the possibility of a Martinez win, because it would screw up a KP/PW fight next spring. Now Williams and Peterson both claim Paul will never fight KP, and that he will return to 154 or even 147 after the Martinez fight. Williams and his trainer have become so insanely obnoxious that I hope Sergio leaves PW slumped in a corner.

Agreed. The PW steamrolling Martinez comments make no sense, Paul only gets to tee off on guys with no movement, Sergio moves very well.

 

Only problem is that Martinez did not have time to train, that's why Williams took the fight.
