Does Matthysse hit hard, or is Kiram's chin just glass?

"I must say that Matthysse is the hardest puncher I have been in the ring with.''

Garcia has a granite chin. He fought Matthysse and Thurman and neither of them could drop him.

Alexander's chin is underrated as well.

It was sharp enough to stop Lucas from running through him. Not every punch has to be hard to be effective. The jab was never designed to be a power punch.

Or maybe, just maybe, oddsmakers knew their stuff when they made Kiram a +700 dog. ;)

Then why was Kiram knocked out with a jab?

Because Matthysse has elite power... and Kiram seems to be made out of glass.
Listen, there are idk how many jab variations. From power jabs to simple pawing feints.

    Shadow,
I won’t disagree with you about Peterson. My point was that I don’t think Lucas would not score a KO3 against last week’s Peterson.

I think Danny would welcome the fight with Lucas, now that there are clear signs of slippage since their first fight. Lucas’s new belt helps make the fight “sellable.”

I was being sarcastic with the comment about Berto and Ortiz being bigger fish. We all know that’s not the case, but that won’t stop Master Al and the “Always Smiling” Watson clan from pretending they’re worthy opponents for Danny Garcia.

The Lucas who fought Mike Dallas Jr. and Lamont Peterson would’ve blitzed Kiram.

I fully understand the intent of jabbing, particularly up, down, changing up speed, etc. In fact, many of the fighters I hold in high esteem have excellent jabs. That said, Kiram threw the same predictable jab for as long as the fight lasted. From the safety of my couch, I judged Kiram was not looking to inflict damage or control the fight with his jab. Instead, he was just using it to save himself from engaging and risking the L.

I would bet every penny in my name, now and forever more, that Kiram will never again fight on US soil. He was that bad.

Yes, but do you really believe Kiram bet on the under? Why get up at all after the first heavy knockdown then?
Are we to believe he expertly timed his second dive within seconds, lol?

I think it's just a case of not being able to hold a shot, like Morrisson was. It did look fishy, but if youre still hurt after the first KD, a simple jab can hurt you further, and that's what happened; Kiram chose to stay down because he had nothing left.

I scored the first round a 10/10 but still had Lucus behind @ the time of the JAB KO
    69/66
The Machine is broken IMO and I’m a big fan of the guy
He has limited chances with any guy ranked in the top 10 right now

He was impressive and has not only a solid chin but a hard body as he took some massive shots
