HBO made floyd, they could ruin floyd

HBO got ripped to shreds last year by Thomas Hauser the great boxing journalist. HBO is under the pressure to put on real fights not junk fights like Dawson-Johnson. HBO has made it clear that they want Floyd to fight Pac. They have to see through the fraud of floyd's scam to duck Pac with these BS blood tesets.

If HBO put the clamps on floyd to take the fight with pac (and the rematch), and said they will never televise him again if he don't, presto, floyd would be ruined. floyd is nothing without HBO support.

it's possible HBO can make or break this fight if they want to. floyd could be blackballed as no one wants to pay to see him vs. Hatton or Gomez.

The best way to keep boxing good is to hold the promotions and distributors responsible.
HBO needs to ramp up their PPV's in a big way.
I'm sick of seeing horrible undercards for 55$ fights.

Why would HBO blackball PBF when he made them a ton of money last year? I know people find this hard to believe but PBF is a draw.

He is a big draw, but he is also losing the attention of the mainstream audience. He has a reputation as a guy who ducks fighters by even casual fans now. I have a couple friends on facebook saying "why is that mayweather guy scared of manny pacquiao?"

I don't think they would blackball Floyd. But Floyd's demands can only be met if he faces certain fighters. And it's looking like he won't face any of them at this point. Think HBO or even GBP would pay him 15 to 20 mill for Matthew Hatton or Gomez? And think Floyd will fight for a purse he deems below him? History is not on his side here.

That's true. Boxing needs a villain, Floyd is good at it. Plus he generate some interest to the sports.

If the fight doesn't get made....arum has already said he wants HBO to choose between mayweather and pacquiao......The problem is mayweather sales more...

I dont think HBO would part with either because they both have specific markets that generate an enormous amount of PPV buys. Its rare to have two premier fighters, despite what Arum says HBO would be stupid to choose.

I agree...2 different demographics and both sale...Mayweather is the bigger draw between the 2 now....the 21 month lay-off made mayweather more marketable imo...
