It also had a whole 24/7 series covering the pre fight.

Lance just wants to see Manny awake again.

Could do a few episode just dedicated to the welterweights from 2006 to 2009. So many great fights and interlinked stories.

Cool. Looking forward to it. If any fight deserves a to be bronzed in documentary style immortality its that one. It was one the the main fights that got me into boxing.

:huh Oscar vs. Tito was supposedly our generation's SRL vs. Hearns. it held meaning for that reason, as well as being two top undefeated rivals.

Not exactly the same as Cotto vs. Margarito.

:patsch FFS....are you this much a little ***** that this is all you can come back with? I've given plenty of reasons why I don't see Cotto vs. Margarito as Legendary Nights worthy. And that's not to say it wasn't a big fight, but I just think there are more deserving fights.

  10. Well pick one! Do you want a great fight or do you want meaning? :patsch

As for the meaning, you said it with your own reply (bolded).

:huh How does this even apply to anything I posted? No where did I say it has to be only one or the other. I never said Tito vs. DLh was a great fight in any way, as YOU are the one who brought it up. I simply said it had a lot of meaning to it. Get a grip dude, and please thoroughly read what is posted. I hate trying to explain simple things to posters...

  12. It actually pertains directly to these two posts in particular.

Don't worry, you don't need to re-explain your feeble position for me to disagree with it. :smoke

You think reposting what I posted proves something? Were you even into boxing when DLH vs. Tito fought? I guess you might've been what, 10-12yo? DLH vs. Tito, while a dreadful fight, was very heavily hyped and had a LOT opf meaning going into it. Are you unaware of that? :huh THAT is why it was on that program. Because of it's meaning. Jeez...

Feel free to reply with some pointless snide remark if you must. I'm sure you'll get someone to agree with you, and therefore validate your infinite wealth of knowledge.

BTW ******, when I said BEST FIGHTS, that doesn't ONLY mean they had to have action back and forth. I added Floyd vs. DLH, which was a dull affair, but it too had meaning. Dense much?

  14. Damn dude, do you always get this excited when someone disagrees with you? Calm down, sheesh.

Someone else already agrees with me (the other guy you were arguing with). You are getting all weird and calling people ****** and dense.

I might as well just retort with **** YOU ***** COTTO VS MARGARITO SHOULD BE ON LEGENDARY NIGHTS BECAUSE IT WAS BOTH A GOOD FIGHT AND HAD MEANING AND ALSO BECAUSE I SAID SO AND YER A ****IN DENSE ****** *****

But I won't do that... all I'll say is this:

In my humble opinion, your opinion is wrong. Cotto vs. Margarito would make for a great episode of HBO's Legendary Nights and I think many boxing fans, as well as casual viewers, would find it quite gripping and entertaining material. I would also like to add that I feel that it would fit right in with the spirit of previous great episodes of that show.
