Kovalev is supposed to fight Barrera next. Would love to see Beterbiev fight Barrera next, but the powers that be in boxing are doing all they can to stop Beterbiev's career, he's that good................Bivol would stop Barrera as well..........when will Stevenson ever fight someone good, Alvarez is not a good fight..............

Andre Ward's resume has just improved. Barrera is now no.3 in the division.
It was an easy fight for Berchelt. Berchelt gets KO'd by Lomachenko.
Castellanos is hard to look good against, I didn't see the last 6 rounds of the Castellanos fight but I hear Corrales took control of the fight.
I think we're going to see Berchelt-Corrales next, that's a very interesting fight in any case.

In the meantime, Loma should look to Rigo at 126 OR Salido at 130 OR a title holder at 135 before taking on Mikey-Linares winner.

Alvarez is not a bad fight. I'm just glad Stevenson is fighting a decent contender this time.

Berchelt probably rates higher than Davis based on quality of opposition, but styles make fights, and I think Berchelt's style suits Davis in this match-up. He has an accurate left hand, goes well to the body, and likely matches or exceeds Berchelt in terms of speed. Allow me to flip this for a moment: Miura and Vargas were both more proven, yeah...But they were both older and coming off hard wars. Kind of wanna see how he fares against someone less shop-worn, and more versatile, personally.

Davis has impressed me thus far. He responded well to Pedraza's attempt to take control and ultimately blasted him out; and then went to his mandatory's back yard and stayed composed while stopping him. I think there might be some substance to go along with the style- which I why I peg him to defeat Berchelt if and when they meet.

Smith didn't get exposed, he's exactly who most boxing people thought he was.

What I saw last night sitting no more than 12 feet away from the ring was a highly skilled club fighter. He has no business at this time in the top 10 ranks. Barrera was lighting him up with combinations. But he has that natural power for sure as evidenced by the several times he buzzed Barrera and dropped him hard in the first

Many "world-class club fighters" have been contenders and champions ... some of them very solid champs.

Persistence and will, especially coupled with some pop, can take someone a long way. Lots of fighters that fit this description have defeated highly-skilled opponents.

His resume says he is a contender.

Unless he lands a big shot.

I've seen far less skilled fighters win world titles.

I could go on and on. You surely don't think he's the worst fighter ever? You surely don't think just because he got picked apart (after scoring a knockdown) by a superior fighter who he didn't match up well with skill-wise that Smith has no value? He knocked out Hopkins and Fonfara, which means he can compete with (and beat) contenders.

Whew! I didn't think I'd survive the Lampley, Jones , and Kellerman announcing crew. Almost was TKO'ed by the stupidity and repetive BS.
