I've heard it said that boxers should always refrain from announcing a fight as their last -- or proclaiming that they're thinking about retiring -- because once they do, their heart and mind isn't fully focused on the job anymore, potentially leading to said individual being embarrassed or even badly damaged. In this respect, boxing -- the Brutal Artistry -- is hard enough without fighters making it any harder for themselves.

I’d normally agree with you but for some strange reason it seemed like a decent all around ending for Cotto even with the loss and the premature announcement. I don’t believe his heart was that far removed he just didn’t have the stamina, endurance and timing needed at this stage in career to close the show. The torn bicep didn’t help and of course it played role but if he’s not going to use it as an excuse then neither am I.

The fact is there was no actual evidence that Margarito used plaster wraps against Cotto. There is only the circumstantial evidence that he used illegal, plaster wraps against Mosley so he must have used them against Cotto. And very tenuous conclusions about what a picture of Margarito's wraps after the Cotto fights reveals. Simply was never any direct evidence, yet Margarito was thrown to the wolves by almost all boxing media and fans.

I've also by the way never heard a compelling description of the physics that shows why the small amount of plaster Margarito was caught with before Mosley would have such a decisive, dangerous advantage. Wouldn't that amount only aid him in forming a fist, not be like rocks in his gloves? I don't believe at its worst it's remotely comparable to the Resto incident.

Of course you haven't, yet... but it'll happen, the revisionists usually need a day or two to get their propaganda worked out. The narrative will slowly but surely change, and the excuses will come pouring in, you heard all those people in MSG booing the underdog for winning legitimately, Cotto fans, like Pac and Mayweather fans are merciless.

Isaac Newton was an occultist who is glamorized by HiStory. The dark magician died from eating mercury. Also Gravity is just a THEORY, in reality buoyancy/density/electromagnetism makes more sense.

Pictures in space are fake. Cgi/composites are real? "it is photoshopped but it has to be"

We're definitely not on a ball spinning 1000 mph barreling, that's propaganda to make you think you're a spec of dust.
Secret societies who control this earth plan things hundreds of years in advance while you don't even know what's for breakfast.

If you trust the government so much you should look into MK ultra, Operation Northwoods,

I'm a fan of both, but it definitely seemed like a cash out fight for the sek-c one. Weren't Seegio's team trying to get some knee braces approved for the fight? They knew he had a problem, whether Sergio wanted to admit it himself or not.

    Alright, serious question*:

*Leaving aside the self-avowed haters like CST80 and the rest of the Marg apologists with their obvious agenda-driven bias against Cotto, and omitting also pretty much every boricua fan's opinion (sorry guys, don't mean to paint you all with the same brush, just in the interest of fairness want to eliminate any voices from the discussion that have a dog in the race, or even the presumption of having one)...

How did it come to pass that Miguel Cotto was able to quit, once in his career (admittedly in a barbaric affair under what most agree were forgivable circumstances, regardless of where you stand on the plaster wrap controversy) and garner a reputation for taking a tactical knee in multiple fights (Marg I, Pac, some others that escape me), earning him the disrespectful moniker "Kneeguel" for a time - and yet be allowed in the eyes of the majority of fans to retain or regain his "warrior" status through heroics like attempting to finish the fight with Pacquiao in spite of the beating he copped (with Bayless arguably robbing him unfairly of the chance to lose a gentleman's UD, jumping in with like a minute remaining in a moment that was, if not tranquil, far less savagely violent than many earlier ones and with Cotto intelligently defending himself) and in his swansong battling through a torn bicep - when somebody like Acelino Freitas remains largely associated with the stigma of the scarlet letter Q despite having done plenty himself to dispel it? Coming back after years of fat & happy retirement, still wealthy enough that he was clearly doing it for glory and not in a pathetic cash grab, to snatch the zero from a big-punching countryman MUCH larger than he, in a weight class several above where he spent his prime - is probably equally as bad ass if we're being honest as virtually anything Cotto ever did. Yet any time his name is mentioned there are disrespectful comments and unwarranted chortles. If you disregard the extremes of the nuthuggers and haters, the popular zeitgeist opinion toward Cotto is, like him or not, everybody RESPECTS him. But that benefit of the doubt isn't reserved for a fellow near-great in Popo?

Something tells me you have long hair and are more fidgety than a crackhead who hasn't scored in 22 hours.
Anyways, what is the point of that video? What about the last part?

Actually I'm a boxer who has been boxing since I was around 12. I have short hair that I get cut bi weekly. I've only drank alcohol once so no way in hell would I ever do crack my body is my temple. Hint professional boxers or soon to be pro can post on boxing forums. You sound like a Jabroni who would get slapped up.

Look into what happened to Stan Myer the guy who created that car.

    Your mom's a Jabroni.
But seriously, I enjoyed the white van that was pulled over right before 9/11 happened that was full of white people and was never heard from again.
