However, he is not American, so - unfortunately he is 35 with a row of robberies behind him before this win. Non-north-americans (this includes USA and Maxico)really need to be four times as good to get any credit.

 

Martinez is fun to watch. I can't wait for him to take on the winner of Williams/Cintron, again.

 

BIG respect for Martinez.

The way he came on in the last 4 rounds was unbelievable, considering he looked very tired up until the 8th. Basically, after the 8th his trainer told him "double the jab (oh the irony!) and come with the straight left, don't loop it", and Sergio did just that, and sometimes throwing an additional straight left.

Again, big respect for 'Maravilla'.

 

Sergio did great, and I'm glad he got the nod and won me some money!

There's some pretty bad scoring in this thread though from the Pav fans.
