    This lineal concept supports the intellectually lazy and crushes any critical thinking ability. It is somewhat on par with claiming "racism" when you have no arguement. In this case just shout "lineal" and the debate is terminated in your favor.

    It's just an acknowledgement that Hopkins unified the division, he lost to Taylor who lost to Pavlik who lost to Martinez who lost to Cotto.

    It's quite clear who the champion is. Who is the best is up for debate until settled in the ring.
