In a move that has long been in the works but not official, HBO Sports announced this morning that they will no longer be doing business with Golden Boy Promotions, putting the wars between HBO and Showtime and Top Rank and Golden Boy at a new level.

    ESB front page!!!

    which blame has the fan??

im sick of this ego war between TR and GBP

Damn. That just re-inforces the wall that divides TR and GBP fighters.

I wonder what happens to Broner and Hopkins who, up until now, have benefitted from a strong relationship with HBO.

Golden Boy has literally no plan on how to develop fighters other than put them in with bums off the street until the public is convinced they're decent. It's gotten worse and worse since Espinoza will do whatever Shafer tells him to.

Showtime has become shills for GBP and that will hurt them in the long run.Sho does not have the budget to keep all GBP fighters happy and they don't have enough boxing dates for GBP's promotions.
Good on HBO for calling bull**** !:good

Both companies have their faults but if Golden Boy had earned anything based on merits I'd be happy to forgive them. They've been handed everything while continuing to give fans **** in return.

Criminal that a network can sign a fighter's exclusive rights.

Along with uncooperative promoters, this completely undermines the notion of a ranking system.
