According to a radio station in Montreal, HBO will not be in Romania next july for Lucian Bute next fight.

    Why not ?

It's hard to hype a guy who is contractually incapable of fighting the best in his division for at least a year and a half. HBO has other non-US fighters to over hype and protect.

Bute-Pavlik is an HBO fight to the core...right up their alley, and promotes itself...even if it will be one-sided.

I'm assuming Pavlik will not be the opponent in Romania, though. HBO rarely goes overseas, I don't think they much like to.

Interbox (Bute promo) might just give up the fight in Romania and put it on the Dawson-Pascal card nex august in Montreal...I hope so !

because romania is a **** hole, and the time difference is ridiculous the fight would have to take place at 5 am romania for it to air 10pm east us time

Bute? Who's that? Another Calzaghe fighter hidden away so nobody has seen him fight much.

HBO doesn't leave the country very much, the last time was Bute in Canada and that is a short trip.

It's extremely expensive to relocate overseas. HBO invested heavily in Calzaghe/Kessler and got a horrific ratings return, so don't look for them to try that again anytime soon.

Bute-Brinkley is not worth it. Bute wants to be generous with his people of Romania. That's correct. He'll be on HBO the next time.

Because the production would either cost them a fortune or be total ****

and anyways the time zones don't match.

Let's see....high production costs + terrible ratings... Apparently HBO wants to
    stay in business
