You obviously don't know sh1t about boxing. Stevenson Kovalev isn't even a PPV worthy fight, Genius...
I dont know **** about boxing because I think the Kovalev/Stevenson fight is the best fight in boxing? It is a fight that tons of purists want to see. Not people taking the business approach to the sport. I know the business aspect rules, but that doesnt rule my heart. I love fighting. I love boxing. I am a fighter. I want to see fights. not someone get rich. I try to ignore that element of any and every sport. And I think your reaction is a bit overboard. I dont agree with you so you try to insult me? Whos the real "genius" here?
I dont think any Mayweather fight is PPV worthy. I think Kovalev IS a PPV draw. It's just that hes not mainstream. Its the fake fans that bring in the money based on names.
Fcuck off you self righteous POS. I want the fight to happen it should happen before the end of the year.
Kovalev is ordinary he just has good power. A 40 year old Hopkins would take him apart.:deal Hell even a 49 year old Hopkins would still probably beat him.
I seen enough to know that a 40 year old Hopkins would take him apart. The guy has decent skills and punches hard if he didn't have as much power he wouldn't be anything of note. For example GGG is far more complete than Kovalev and if he didn't have as much power would still be a good fighter. Kovalev not so much.
Dude, you are very wrong. But you do realise what you're saying right? Its similar to .. "Wilder wouldnt have 32 KO's if he didnt have all that power. He wouldnt even be a threat in the HW division". Here's the issue .. Kovs DOES have that power. And its much better than "good". He would kill Hopkins dude. He'd butcher him.
His power isn't the only thing that allowed him beat the **** out of Cleverly. He was doing that from the first second. He has decent boxing skills as well as power imo. A 40 year old Hopkins might beat him, but thats hardly saying much. A 40 year old Hopkins was a beast and an ATG. He beats current Hopkins easily. Stevenson - Hopkins and Stevenson - Ward are not bigger fights. The only bigger fight for Stevenson is Froch, and that's only because of how well known Froch is in Canada for dismantling Bute.
I agree Wilder is very raw his power his size and athleticism are his saving grace. I'm not as sold on Kovalev as I am on GGG. As for butchering Hopkins I don't know athletic speedy guys give Hopkins problems not slow come forward guys like Kovalev he loves those types. I see Hopkins taking Kovalev's right hand away and smothering his power by keeping the fight on the inside.
