I hope Taylor realizes he's gonna have to take a major pay cut to fight on Showtime.

They don't offer anywhere near as much money as HBO.

So no go on Taylor/Froch or Taylor/Kessler.

HBO 09...No Mismatches but no great sleeper fights either?

I was wondering awhile ago why Taylor was still on HBO. He does not excite or dominate the way a top fighter should. He is good but not top notch right now. If he comes back and maybe fights a guy like Calzaghe and beats him he will be tops again. Beating Kessler would be great also.

I would see the logic in that line of thought, except for the fact that HBO is still interested in Winky Wright.

Maybe its because of Money problems or negotiating but if HBO keeps this up then you can expect Showtime to start having some good fights and even VERSUS channel had better fights then some of HBO fights which is sad. HBO is looking for its next big star and Taylor is out of the picture even though he beat No Hook Lacy. Right now HBO is looking for its next rising star and for who that is I dont know but if HBO doesnt start showing some of these fights people want to see then please believe Versus and Showtime boxing is going to start picking up.

Good point. I guess maybe because Winky did not lose the way Taylor did to Pavlik. HBO seems to like winners so they can market them in a way as though they are unbeatable. With Taylor we now know he is not.

If HBO think that Taylor v Froch would be wouldn’t bean entertaining fight then they are making a mistake. I’ve seen Froch fight a few times. Froch keeps his hands low, and takes more punches than he probably should. Fortunately for Froch, he has a granite chin and consistently looks to land bombs of his own. Any boxer who takes and dishes out big shots will generally be in good fights. And I have always thought I have had value for money after seeing him fight.
