I have both. You have to go with HBO because the bigger fights are there. With that said I'm beginning to like Showtime more.

I have both as well but HBO is far superior in their presentation of fights.Sho trys but will always be the second fiddle.

As some said earlier...if you have to choose one it's HBO because they have more money, but Showtime definitely does more with less.

HBO does have a fantastic Spring lineup in place right now, however, while Showtime seems to be struggling to fill in around the brilliant Super 6.

Super 6 vs. Lucian Bute and Pavlik: advantage Sho
Tim Bradley vs. all the 140s: advantage HBO
Fight Camp 360 vs 24/7 & Countdown: advantage Sho
    BAD vs ShoBox: advantage HBO

  5. It sucks to choose between the two. HBO does have all the biggest fights but most of their big big ones are on PPV. So even if you have HBO you still gotta shell out $55 - 60 to watch unless you can live under a rock for a week and be surprised by the replay.

Here's my decision: NEITHER, find a good boxing stream enthusiast forum and download

Which takes away from the fighter, etc - the sport. If you don't want to support either, fine. Find something cheaper, hell even free. As long as it is legit and can be accounted for. If not, you are slowly killing the sport.

Hmmm it used to be HBO but Showtime is really pulling up to them.

The sad thing is that once fighters hit it big they leve Showtime and go to HBO.

I think HBOs cast is hilarious though so i like watching them more. But as far as indepth analysis Showtime takes it.

    This.

Except that P4P, Showtime isn't probably better, they are better.

  9. Ah you know what I completely agree with what you are saying and I actually pay for my HBO and my Showtime because its WORTH it. But if you are broke like I was a year ago (all i had was DSL and antenna for my TV) then trying to find it for free is all the same. They aren't gonna see your money anyways, so who can blame you for finding a way to watch the fight?

Any flamage I receive for the streaming post is well deserved, have at it.

Had both for a few years, then I had to cut back. I survived a couple years with just HBO. Eventually, with the Super Six, I had to cave and get Showtime again too.

My answer: both. If you absolutely can't afford it (it's really $30 a month extra for one more?), then yeah, probably HBO.

Depends tho, because TBH the past couple months I've been watching ShoBox a lot more too.
