    I may be crazy here....

But I'm officially picking Ogawa and Roman for upset stoppage wins, and quite frankly, Smith pulling off a close points victory or late TKO wouldn't shock me in the least.

I thought Shafikov-Alvarado was going to be on HBO Latino, but I don't see it in my cable listings.

You always pick wrong. What did Passenger 57 tell you? "Always bet on Black."
Farmers HBO debut will be overshadowed by a bigger fight but he will shine like a new nickel and emerge The Newwww IBF world champion.

Actually statistically I picked right about 75% of the time. And have more upsets on my ledger this year than almost anyone on the site.

I don't bet on black, when black has a tendency to wilt under pressure and has a glass jaw.:deal:

Oh, I also don't bet on black when black is coming back from being shot like with a bullet in the hand he jabs with.:deal:

Bummer for Shafikov that he's always found a way to come up just shy in his bids for titles. Even then, he's always competitive with the top guys. I didn't see him losing to an Alvarado level guy at this stage.

    Round 1 Vargas 10-9

Both fighters tagged aplenty, Vargas got the best of it though.

    Round 1 Vargas 10-9
    Round 2 Vargas 10-9

Once again, both men landing their fair share, but cleaner shots came from Vargas.
