Rewatching Mosley/Wright II. Roy Jones was just so damn informative, intuitive, intelligent. He truly explained boxing to the viewers and gave a good understanding of what was happening and why. I miss Jones commentating.

He gave a lot of good technical commentary, which Legendary Trainer Manny Steward doesn't at all.

I dunno. He might be too freaky for commentary.

"You can see Larry, he got Mayweather on the run but Mayweather still scorin. He got...time so he knows what he can do with that time and Manny has to take that time away from him. Larry! Where my rooster at!"

I alwyas enjoy Roy's commentating. He does give proper boxing insights rather than the superficial, self-serving horseshite that Steward bellows out. He's entertaining.

Haha I forget what fight it was but Larry disagreed with him
Roy: "Well Larry you never boxed before, so you wouldn't know"

Larry: "Well Roy it's true I've never boxed, but I can still have an opinion"

    Roy: "Hehe"

Larry owned him in that exchange.

"You don't have to pull rank every time we disagree, Roy."

Did you hear that interview with Hopkins when Roy called in to disagree with him? I couldn't understand a ****ing word the man was saying. When he gets excited, I lose him. He rarely does that, to be fair.

"Show me a man in control of his emotions and i'll show you a dangerous man."

Its weird, if youde never heard either of them commentate, youde think Manny would be full of insight about the technical side of the sport, and Roy would be a cocky a-hole (Manny being Legendary trainer and Roy being a fighter wrongly seen as technically poor), but its the complete opposite.

Of course he does he is like 100 percent correct on his predictions. Every fight he waits till about the 5th or 6th round and says "this fight is going exactly how I thought it would" . I also get a kick out of almost everyfight 90 secounds in hes saying fighter A is fighting the perfect fight right now :-( The fight just started dude stop trying to be a ****ing know it all.

Oh my god, that interview was ridiculous. Jones got on the line blabbering jibberish. Hopkins is like "Yeah I know that's really Roy" :rofl:rofl:rofl Takes a blabbering fool to recognize one. (no disrespect to either) :yep
Yeah, you're right, my bad, that's what Merchant said in response

 that was so the best bit. The presenter was a bit cautious, he was "is this really Roy Jones", and like you say, Hopkins was just, "yeah, that's him"

Steward got owned by Lampley in the Cotto/Clottey fight.

Steward said that he saw no way Cotto could still be in the fight during like the 6th. Lampley responded that Cotto got a KD in the first and definitely won the 3rd and 4th, and Steward shut the eff up

Yeah that always pisses me off. Dude, its the 1st friggin round!!!
