i wouldn't be surprised if he ended up back in the booth, the only reason he was canned was because he refused to go to the pre-fight production meetings with the fighters

Don't mean to jump down your throat, but I felt George was just wrong alot and he seemed to nuthug certain fighters too much :good

They all have their agenda, but he gave insights into what the fighters were doing in the same way Roy did, and that makes a big difference - being an exciting commentator is one thing, but knowing what's really happening in the ring is another, and that's something only a clever, articulate boxer can really provide.

I also like the way he goes "OOOOOHH!!" when a big punch lands.

Its was pac v morales 1 im pretty sure.

Roy is my favourite commentator, definetly would be my choice for colour commentary

Roy Jones has been brilliant whenever he has commentated. Can't stand Lewis at all he is dull and states the ****ing complete obvious.

Get Tyson on! When he's not out raping women and threatening to kill people he is actually pretty inciteful

I think Lennox is at the "so-bad-he's-good" level. So long as there are guys around him that actually know what they're doing, I find him quite funny.

I'll never forget Pavlik/Taylor I, where Pavlik was getting ravaged with everything Taylor could through and was hanging on for dear life, when Lewis came out with the absolute classic: "Pavlik is a TOUGH COOKIE from YOUNGSTOWN!"

Roy is a GREAT commentator. Bernard is also. I'll take either.

    completely agree.

I watched some of Morales vs Pac 1 recently ...and there was some vintage Roy in it.

I loved it at one point when he responded to to Lampley saying Morales was taking the round off...

and Roy was like ''seems like hes taking a break..maybe a little tired, maybe a little winded or he could be playing possum, you never know about terrible...(just as Morales starts firing at pac and the action starts up again crowd goes crazy) ...yea...yea..you never know about terrible, hes a smart fighter, this aint his first big fight...and it aint hes second or third either''

difficult to explain fully but maybe some of you get my drift

    Roy is really good.

Another fighter that was suprsingly good at doing commentary/analysis was Ricky Hatton during De La Hoya vs Pac fight.

On more than one occassion he has called a "KD punch" before it happens. Like "fighter A seems to be hanging his left low, he better fix that or he's gonna catch a right"......then POW! right hand floors the guy.
