There was a moment in that fight when he hit a low blow and followed it up with a rabbit punch to the back of his head. How are you supposed to defend yourself from somebody breaking the rules and getting away with it?

Watched the first fight and knew that Kovalev won but that was a good knockout
Did the ref say anything below the belt is balls?

    Hahaha probably

You wanted Ward to win and he did, but I think you have more reason to be upset than people who wanted Kovalev to win, the referee probably denied Ward a definitive win, it looked to me like Ward was well on top but Weeks jumped in way too early and ignored a series of low blows.

It was a Ward victory but it must feel like a hollow victory.

I'm guessing you're a rare female poster on this forum?

Otherwise, i have no idea how to explain how debilitating (sp?) it is to be hit low.

And that post was also full of ****. You didn't score the fight in real time but want to criticize people that did. You aren't going to convince me otherwise.

Of course it will be, you and I just saw TKO6 part 2, the Golota-Bowe edition, and Ward, Weeks, Las Vegas, Roc Nation and everyone involved deserved to be ridiculed for this atrocity endlessly.

Below the writing on Kovalev's trunks basically right in the dick, and Weeks just strolls in and waives it off as a KO.

Weekes didn't do a good job that's for sure. Ward is a dirty fighter and always tries to find avenues to get away with this.

None of those shots were nut shots. All were on the belt. Sergey was bent over trying to avoid them. I don't believe the first sentence of your post. At all.

I disagree that it was a series of low blows, the last one - was somewhat low I agree but he was already slouched down so how could they not stop it after that?

There is no standing 8 count in professional boxing (Well in championship fights). I would have liked to see a standing 8 myself, or a count.

Even Kovalev said the first 2-3 was borderline on the belt (Which is very legal)

The beginning of the end started with that MASSIVE right hand that he landed (I think you can agree to that).

    Wobbling all over the place?

He was hit with a savage full weighted right hand....which was only possible because of the low blow just before it.

If he was in so much trouble, how did he have the ability to balance his whole body weight on the ropes?

That was the very last punch, but what about the ones leading to that?

Honestly I think it's time for him to leave his team. Dude has 0 respect for John David Jackson, and just has him their as a token. Dude needs to find someone he respects and will listen to. Especially for conditioning. His condition looked worse this fight, though Ward definitely did do a better job at wearing him out. It's also possible that at 34 he is not the same guy period. He blamed his condition coach, but it could be age.

LOL 2 judges had Ward ahead. Thats p
I thought that too, it wasn't til the Kov post fight interview when they showed the replay of the end that I was surprised to see a clear low shot or two. Even Max face told a story considering he had just shouted about Andre being p4p#1 yet when he seen that slo mo replay he realised it was lo. Too many low blows overall anyway without the ref doing anything about it. Fair enough if its a bout between fighters with a large height difference and the shorter man lands low once or twice but in tonights fight it should have been nipped in the bud after the 2nd time it happened by the ref. Always considered Tony Weeks and Kenny Bayless the best to pro refs in the sport today but tonight job wont be one he will look back on with pride
